Our leaders have the responsibility of lowering the level of 'national anger'. Instead they are stoking it. Look for more such tragedies.

In August 2019, Patrick Crusius killed 20 people in a mass shooting in El Paso. Not long after, Connor Betts killed nine people, including his sister, outside a bar in Dayton, Ohio. Sky Newsreported, “Their names now join a roll call of mostly white men attached to the atrocities.”


Immediately after the recent mass shooting in Boulder, Hemal Jhaveri of USA Today said, “It’s always an angry white man. Always.” Vice-President Harris’s niece said definitively that the Boulder shooter was white.

It adds some additional truth to the discussion about gun violence. All one needs to do to gain more insight is to read "the blood-spattered pages of your local newspaper".

What truth does it add? No reputable source claims that only white people commit mass shootings. This thread only serves to stoke anger where no anger should exist.

Any additional truth is a good thing, even if it hurts. Anger is a often a good motivator for change.

I was actually surprised by this article. I had bought into the popular narrative that most mass shooters were white males, without ever looking into it.

It adds truth to a false narrative or false belief system that is perpetuated by the left and the media as seen in the OP.

Trying to turn down the noise. The media are the ones trying to divide people in racial lines and the left is consistently blaming white people for all wrongs done. Turn down the noise, don't buy all the hype. Be skeptical about what you hear. Do your own research.

What truth? The author literally changes the definition of mass shooting to include other types of shootings so that they can change the narrative. That isn't truth. It's manipulating facts to support a narrative that black people are violent. Instead of recognizing it for what it is, we are spreading lies. There's nothing loving about that. What does it help to misrepresent reality so that it makes us feel better? Nothing. It just hurts and continues to paint many Christians as blind to the struggles of society.

He doesn't change anything. You see there is no actual definition of mass shootings. How about mass murder? Would that be better? Isn't that the same thing? Why would mass shootings only include certain things but leave out others.

No the truth is mass shooting is mass murder and most are committed by black males.

What the left dies is distort facts to create a narrative. Like police are shooting black people indiscriminately and it's a major problem. Or police are a bunch of racists. Or white males are far more dangerous.

What the author does is provide facts that counter the agenda of the left.

Where are the lies in that article. Do black people commit more violent acts if this sort than white people? Yes the facts speak for themselves. It's time we wake up to the truth. Quit believing a narrative that is false. Believe the truth. You have provided no evidence that the information is lies.

And your last statement is very interesting to me. How does recognizing reality make people blind to the struggles of society? How does recognizing that 6% of the population commits 60%+ of mass killing make people blind?

It's the left that is working overtime to create division in this country. It's the left that is laying all the ills at the feet of a certain race in this country. It's not us conservative christians doing so. We conservatives believe in reality and addressing it as it is. Not to separate, but to solve. The left isn't interested in solving, but in dividing and blaming.

True that black people commit a disproportionate number of violent crimes based on their share of the population. So it's reasonable to conclude that they have a propensity for violence.

Violent crime statistics verify this. Another study also seems to suggest that violence among blacks is genetic.

Are you actually arguing that Black people "have a propensity for violence?" Wow. I don't have words for that. I am disappointed that a Believer would actually write such thing. I've been looking at your post for hours, trying to decide how to respond. I can't formulate a response that doesn't include both shock and anger, so I will leave this thread. I had no idea that such a mindset infected the Believers on this site.

It's mostly young black men, even pre-teens.

Black people are the majority of victims of black violence. However, white people are victimized in other ways.

It depends on what you mean. White people are more likely to be harmed by blacks than vice versa. Blacks are more likely to be harmed by blacks.

And in this case blacks are more likely to commit mass killings.

Those are just the facts. Now we can ask why this is true and it's a legitimate question with a myriad of answers and debatable reasons with many nuances.

No, Tulc. Black people gunned down by other Black people are the victims.

Everyone in the neighborhood knows who did it, but everyone’s scared. And some poor woman just lost her 18 year old son. Because some cruel, violent men of the same ethnic group felt the need to spray a house party with bullets.

That’s the main point here.
