How does one know if they’re called to preach?

I struggled with this question for a long time. The requirements for the pastoral ministry are clearly listed in St. Paul's First Epistle to Timothy. I reviewed those requirements, some I met others I did not, so after much prayer, and soul searching, I dropped the idea of going to the Seminary...I just don't think God would call someone who conflicted with his word.

Although, Moses, David, and Paul were all 1st, or 2nd degree murderers.

There is a lot to being a minister/pastor of the gospel even if the congregation is small. Most churches have about 100 regulars.
