Trump says companies playing to 'woke cancel culture' over Ga. election bill, calls for boycott

We can't play this game and we won't play this game. I wish we would. I would say that conservatives aren't as petty as liberals, but that's not exactly it; we just don't play the game as well. I think, for the most part, we don't play the boycott and cancel game as well because we simply live our lives. We aren't perpetually offended, and we don't like when our lives are inconvenienced. We also tend to not care much about what a company or a person personally believes, but rather in the product itself. Que the NFL: "We're going to stop watching"
... As we kept watching, because we love the sport itself, and not what happens before or after a game or off the field. I would say that's a shame on us, but actually, it seems we're sensible: do and be what you want: we care about our personal lives and the product. But that's how we lose so much. Time to be petty? I don't think we ever will be. Liberals bleed too much fakeness straight from the manipulated brain thinking it's a heart.

What is the difference between Trump's call for boycotts and "woke culture." The only thing I see is hypocrisy -- denouncing "woke culture" while they engage in it.

I'm speaking from personal experience when I say that the angry indignant rant in the OP is absolute hogwash. I spent five years being targeted, disparaged, and harassed by Trump supporters because I opposed Trump and refused to support him. I've shared some of my experiences before here on CF.

Of course you don't like it when your life is inconvenienced. Who does? But, you don't mind making it inconvenient for others, like when it comes to voting, smh. All of the sudden you're the victim, because you support legislation that is a potential inconvenience to others? Lame.

I know! Imagine having to be a citizen and having to have a state ID to prove it. I can't think of anything worse.

I mean, unless your goal is illegal immigrant votes and false votes, then this is really bad.

Is that all it entails? I don't think so. Now, grandma has to stand in those notoriously long lines (especially in and around Atlanta), in the hot Georgia sun, with no prospect of refreshment. Why? To make it inconvenient. More restrictions on mail-in voting. Why? To make it inconvenient. No more portable polling sites. Why? To make it inconvenient.

Yeah, you like convenience, but God forbid voting be made convenient. Let's just be honest with each other, you like this legislation because you hope less people will vote who would vote Democrat. Instead of addressing issues head on, you'd rather make voting more difficult. Old story, new day.

No kidding. Georgia will even provide the ID free. Not only that now they cry hypocrisy when we boycott cancel culture. It's nuts.

Speaking as a lifelong Republican, I'll vote Democratic if there aren't any Never Trump Republicans on the ballot whenever I go vote here in Texas. I voted for Biden. He's the first Democrat I've ever voted for since I registered to vote in 1992. I'll vote Democratic in the next presidential election if Trump or one of his loyal yes-man sycophants is the Republican nominee. There's no way I'm supporting Trump or any of his loyal yes-man sycophants. Trumpism is an anathema to me and I adamantly oppose it.

But to vote mail ,Absentee or ballot. We had to prove , ID, flinger print and signature. Trump also votes mail. He's deceiving you. And you're falling for it. There's no proof illegal immigrant are the one doing the major voters fraud. It seems to be Republicans.

Atlanta-based Coca Cola denounced Georgia's voter suppression law, too--but I don't see our former president, an avid Diet Coke drinker, calling for a Coca Cola boycott.

MLB has a right to spend its dollars where it wants, and people have a right to attend hockey or soccer games instead.

As for me, I would be more likely to boycott Kelly Loeffler's WNBA team in Georgia. I like women's sports, but feel that Loeffler is eminently worthy of being boycotted.

Umm is the there a consistent reason why
*many republicans tried to cancel French fries and the Dixie chicks for opposing the Iraq war
*Many republicans are trying to cancel Romney and Cheney for supporting the Iraq war
*Many republicans are trying to Kemp for not backing Trumps election claims.
*Many republicans are critical of Groups trying to cancel other groups

Hmm, does anyone care what a retired ex-game show host says about the subject?

IMO, you guys tend to fail at boycotts because you don’t believe the things you claim to believe, you don’t hold the values you claim to hold. You just haven’t realized it yet.

On the left, people don’t eat meat because they truly believe that animal welfare is a concern worth promoting and want to put their money where their mouths are.

On the left, people cancel sexual harassers and abusers because they truly believe that sexual harassment and abuse are bad things that ought to be curtailed.

Ditto for racism, anti-lgbtq bigotry and a host of other concerns. The boycotts and cancelling come from a place of honest value holding.

Most of what I see from the right is just people following marching orders, getting angry at the libs, without any sort of guiding moral philosophy. It’s why you have a hard time making converts to your cause; it’s why your side hasn’t developed any serious policy ideas in years; and it’s why you’re constantly being labeled as hypocrites.
