LoveGodsWord said: Absolutely, here you go Acts of the Apostles 17:30-31; James 4:17.
Your response here...
Neither of those passages say anything about grace or infants. Now, allow me to be clear: God does show His mercy to newborn infants.
I'm just not convinced by your answer that you believe that.-CryptoLutheran
I am sorry but I respectfully disagree. I believe the scriptures provided in the post you are quoting from disagree with you and show that God does not hold anyone accountable for sin until we have been given a knowledge of what sin is. Babies have no knowledge of what sin is from my understanding so are not held accountable for it. Guess I have not seen any killer babies to be honest :)

I did have a laugh in reading your post here. Have you ever heard of adulterous babies or those who use God's name in vain, or make idols and tell lies etc?

Even without knowledge of the Law we are condemned by it. Romans 2:12

Ah, so the problem is that you don't understand what sin is. If that is the case, then perhaps we should first address that matter.

Already addressed in detail through the showing why your claims are not true and posted here linked. If you disagree your welcome to address the linked post and the scriptures provided that disagree with you.

So you disagree that I am the same person as another who is called by the same word Nathan?

What is your name LGW? Are you the same person as another called by your name?

You should stop quoting Galatians. You don't know what you are sharing. You are misrepresenting the context of the letter

I know exactly what I’m sharing.

It seems to be in opposition to you though.

I simply want those reading to know that the Gospel is the grace found in Christ.

What are you wanting people to know?

That is what I just said to you earlier. The law teaches us that we are all sinners in need of God's salvation leading us to Christ that we might be forgiven through faith.
And once we come to Faith the law is no longer our guardian.

Do you believe it still is a guardian to those who have come to Faith?

Galatians 3:23-26 (ESV) Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, imprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed. So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, for in Christ Jesus you are all sons of God, through faith.

Do you believe you are a son of God through Faith, or the law?

It is true once we have received God's forgiveness for sin according to 1 John 1:9; Proverbs 28:13 we are no longer "under the law" guilty before God of breaking the law *Romans 8:1-4. Keep in mind that receiving Gods' forgiveness for sin is conditional on repentance (Acts of the Apostles 2:38) and believing and following Gods' Word *Matthew 7:21-23 but our faith does not abolish our need to be obedient to Gods' law according to Romans 3:31. If we continue in known unrepentant sin when God gives us a knowledge of the truth of His Word according to the scriptures, there is no more sacrifice available for sin but a fearful looking forward to the judgement to come that will devour the adversaries *Hebrews 10:26-31. If we continue in known unrepentant sin therefore according to the scriptures in Romans 3:19-20 we are still "under the law" because we stand before God of breaking the law *Romans 3:19. God's salvation is conditional on believing and following Gods' Word according to the scriptures.

Those who have come to Christ have repented. You cannot be in Christ without repentance.

Gods salvation is based on Faith, not what you are teaching.

If a person continues in sin, they are not following the Spirit, and therefore rejecting His freedom.

What you are teaching is slavery to sin. The power of sin is the law, and you are desiring to give that power to others.

Righteousness comes by Faith alone. Not Faith and something else.

If you are not led by the Spirit you are not Gods. Those led by the law are not Gods.

Gods salvation is based on Faith, not what you are teaching
Where did you get anywhere in the scriptures from the post you are quoting from that we are saved by what we do? If I have never said such things why are you claiming I am saying things I have never said or believe? So there is no misunderstanding here let me be clear as to what I believe the scriptures teach. According to the scriptures, I believe that we are saved by grace through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God and not of works lest any man should boast *Ephesians 2:8-9 but Gods grace is so we can be obedient to the faith *Romans 1:5. Obedience to God's Law is not how we are saved it is the FRUIT faith of one that is already been given Gods promise of salvation and the fruit of God's work in us *Philippians 2:13 as we believe and follow his word *John 10:26-27. If our faith has no fruit it is dead *James 2:18-20; 26 and our tree will be cast down and thrown into the fire *Matthew 3:10; 7:19-20; 13:49-50; Hebrews 10:26-27. Therefore we do not abolish God's law through faith like some people teach but God's law is established in the heart by faith that works by love *Romans 3:31; 1 John 5:3-4; Romans 13:8-10. According to the scriptures, sin (breaking God' commandments and not believing and following God's Word) is the difference between the children of God and the children of the devil *1 John 3:6-10; 1 John 2:3-4; Revelation 12:17; Revelation 14:12; Revelation 22:14.
What you are teaching is slavery to sin. The power of sin is the law, and you are desiring to give that power to others. Righteousness comes by Faith alone. Not Faith and something else. If you are not led by the Spirit you are not Gods. Those led by the law are not Gods.
Sorry dear friend but I respectfully disagree with your claims and teachings for the reasons already outlined in the scriptures that have been shared with you already. Of course you are free to believe as you wish but according to the scriptures I have shared with you here and elsewhere I have always posted from the very start all though this forum that we are saved by God's grace alone through faith from sin and sins power *Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 John 3:3-10; 1 John 2:3-4. We are not saved like some teach by God's grace so we are now free to continue in known unrepentant sin and Jesus did not die for our sins so that we are now free to live in sin. So then if sin is the transgression of God's law *1 John 3:4 or as James and Paul says breaking anyone of God's 10 commandments or not believing and following Gods' Word *James 2:10-11; Romans 7:7; 14:23 it brings the conversation back to Gods' "seventh day" Sabbath and 4th commandment of the 10 commandments. According to the scriptures Sunday worship is a teaching and tradition of men that has led many to either knowingly or unknowingly to break God's seventh day Sabbath commandment which is one of Gods' 10 commandments *Exodus 20:8-11 that give us the knowledge of what sin is when broken *Romans 3:20 according to the scriptures. According to Jesus if we knowingly follow man-made teachings and traditions that break the commandments of God in Matthew 15:3-9 we are not worshiping God. Jesus says the hour is coming and now is that the true worshipers will worship God in Spirit and in truth because God is a Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth. God is calling His Sheep (His people) wherever they might be to hear His voice (the Word) and follow him. According to the scriptures however those who do not hear will not follow because they are not His sheep in John 10:26-27. God is calling us all out from following the teachings and traditions of men back to the pure Word of God *Revelation 18:1-5; Revelation 17:5; Revelation 14:7-12. God's sheep will hear His voice (the Word) and follow him according to the scriptures.

Something we should all pray about I guess.

Where you miss the mark is through your pointing to the law.

You, among others, believe one day is greater than the next - and condemn those who do not believe as you.

The Sabbath command is our rest in Christ. Yet you want to change it to be a day of the week.

Those who have entered His rest know Him and follow Him - they follow His Spirit.

Those who reject His rest, who break the command, follow the law.

Only those who believe enter His rest. I would implore you to do so while there is still time.

You do not have to stay in slavery to sin any longer. Christ has set us free - either we accept this and live following the Spirit - or you reject it following the law.

Galatians 5:4-6 (ESV) You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace. For through the Spirit, by faith, we ourselves eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.

Sorry Nathan, I respectfully disagree but let me explain why from the scriptures.

1. There is no scripture anywhere that says Jesus is a Sabbath
2. The Sabbath commandment of Gods' 4th commandment is only ever defined in the scriptures as the "seventh day" of the week *Exodus 20:10.

3. Jesus never calls himself a Sabbath day or the seventh day of the week.

4. No one according to the scriptures enter into Gods' rest by breaking His commandments *Isaiah 57:20-21; Hebrews 3:8-19; Hebrews 4:1-9.

5. Jesus according to the scriptures sets us free from sin and its power. He does not save us to continue in sin breaking God's commandments and not believing his Word *1 John 3:6-9; Romans 6:1-23; 1 John 2:3-4; James 2:10-11; 1 John 3:4; Romans 7:7; Romans 3:31; Romans 8:4.

6. Once again no one is telling you that you are justified by the law. As posted to you already we are saved by grace through faith and not of ourselves it is a gift of God and not of works lest any man should boast *Ephesians 2:8-9 but Gods grace is so we can be obedient to the faith *Romans 1:5. Obedience to God's Law is not how we are saved it is the fruit of one that is already been given Gods promise of salvation and the fruit of God's work in us *Philippians 2:13 as we believe and follow his word *John 10:26-27.

7. According to the scriptures, those who reject God's Word do not enter into the gospel rest and according to Hebrews 4:1-9 do not enter into Gods' seventh day Sabbath rest that only those who believe the gospel rest enter into by faith. Hebrews 3:8-19 and Hebrews 4:1-11 are a warning for us today that if we do not believe and follow Gods' Word we will not enter into God's "seventh day" Sabbath rest.

Now what is it in the scriptures provided here that you disagree with?

There is no problem my side as the biblical definitions of sin have been discussed already all through this thread. If you want to discuss what sin is according to the scriptures your welcome to. What is your definition of sin?
