Jopa here. On mobile and forgot login info.
Am being told several times per day by spirit that i should write online and warn people about the war. If people raise their voice and protest i think they must stop. Is that not universal law? Or else they can be punished. Not sure.
But anyway if not for that i guess they stop because they otherwise would have to fear the people for the rest of their lives.

Are you interested in helping each other on social media to expose this?

Worked like a charm last time, can you imagine the what a mess it would have been had we invaded Iraq? Good thing all those protests stopped that before it got going...wait...

If we wish to discuss the Middle East, I suggest that we look at US troops levels in the Middle East. Our primary bases are in the emirates, our strongest allies in the region. We probably have 50K troops in Bahrain, Qatar and the UAE, plus contractors. This level is a bit more than in Germany or Japan.

I am fine with this. However, I believe that we should withdraw all troops and contractors from Saudi Arabia, and work with the emirates and the UN to assist the people of Yemen.

I agree on all but the last point. I think it better we extricate ourselves from the regions conflicts entirely.

Perhaps they play chess thinking more than 1 step ahead? Maybe they want to keep Russia busy close to home.
Maybe it's the Tongans who running the whole show? The total lack of evidence that they are a string pulling, king making world power is clearly evidence of how good they are at what they do.

I understand that isolationism is very popular in the US. It has been for all of our history. However, for now, we have chosen to have allies in the region, and in Europe. Our 50K or so troops are necessary as a NATO partner. We could adopt the Trump plan of reducing our commitments to NATO. I don't favor that approach.

Many here have studied US foreign policy for many, many decades. Many were personally involved. You can assert that you know more than we do. However, you have shown no evidence at all that you understand US policy. All you have done is made personal assertions.

The first Iraq War was because of oil; the second was because of terrorism. Please present arguments and evidence to the contrary.

Not at all. But it does seem a little bit irrational to send troops to fight terrorists.

Bush viewed sending troops as the most reasonable way to fight terrorists and those who were supporting them. At least 3/4 of Americans strongly agreed. Personally, I would have focused on Afghanistan and perhaps on pressuring Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, but I wasn't making the strategic choices. I certainly would not have attacked Baghdad.

Dont you think it just creates even more hate and terrorists? And people tend to believe what media tells them repeatedly.

Why would you trust Bush?

I understand that there are conspiracy theory folks who believe that terrorists didn't attack us and that we shouldn't have responded. The vast majority of the US and of Congress didn't support the wars because they "trusted Bush".

Not blaming the military on the ground. You had good intentions. But there are real evil who just want to drag humanity down.

While President Trump was in the White House for four years, the U.S. didn’t start any new conflicts,
Broke the Iran deal and killed numerous Iranian, Iraqi, and Syrian officials and troops in direct acts of war.
Maybe the U.S. "didn't start any new conflicts," in the sense of no declarations of war, but there hasn't been a declaration of war since WW2, so that seems like a distinction without a difference.
