That doesn't all take place on one day.
The 24 hours preceding Passover, the culmination of weeks of scrubbing and cleaning and preparation, is the final transition from our ordinary chametz lives to Passover. The Pesach is prepared on the 14th of Abib.
1. The Torah tells us that we were not to sacrifice the lamb while we had leavened bread in our possession.6 Even in our times, we rid ourselves of all leaven before midday of the 14th of Nissan, the time when the sacrifice was once brought. (For exact times in your location, see here.)
2. Additionally, the day that one would bring a sacrifice in the Temple was considered a minor holiday, and people would refrain from working. Today, we still refrain from doing work on the 14th. (This work restriction is not the same as a full-on holiday. You may make any preparations you need for the holiday that will begin that night on the 15th. If you need to do other kinds of work, please feel free to discuss the specifics with a rabbi).

This is not how it was done, as Israel journeyed to Jerusalem for Pesach, in the time of Yahshua.
I don't see how it's relevant to this discussion.
You used Chabad as a source on your post 602. You also said "Since Judaism calls the 1st and 7th days of Hag Matzot Shabbats today; do you think that it might be possible that Judaism called them Shabbats in the past?"
You seem to want to use recent Rabbinic customs and/or Torah when they favor your argument and discount/try and explain away/not use or accept them when they don't...
You seem to be implying that we ARE discounting Jesus' words. You don't believe Jesus used idioms or figures of speech? However, I strongly lean toward not discounting the words of Yahshua.
Well no. Easter is a later invention. We have called it Pascha for close to 2000 yrs. We have never had morning sunrise services. Where did Daniel use 3 days and 3 nights? No, scripture proves your timeline wrong as has been shown to you yet you keep ignoring it...
Nonsense. trying to use bits and pieces of the OT to distort what the NT clearly states.
Justin [A.D. 110-165.] The First Apology. Chap. LXVII. —
And we afterwards continually remind each other of these things. And the wealthy among us help the needy; and we always keep together; and for all things wherewith we are supplied, we bless the Maker of all through His Son Jesus Christ, and through the Holy Ghost. And on the day called Sunday,76 all who live in cities or in the country gather together to one place, and the memoirs of the apostles or the writings of the prophets are read, as long as time permits; then, when the reader has ceased, the president verbally instructs, and exhorts to the imitation of these good things. Then we all rise together and pray, and, as we before said, when our prayer is ended, bread and wine and water are brought, and the president in like manner offers prayers and thanksgivings, according to his ability,77 and the people assent, saying Amen; and there is a distribution to each, and a participation of that over which thanks have been given,78 and to those who are absent a portion is sent by the deacons. And they who are well to do, and willing, give what each thinks fit; and what is collected is deposited with the president, who succours the orphans and widows and those who, through sickness or any other cause, are in want, and those who are in bonds and the strangers sojourning among us, and in a word takes care of all who are in need. But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Saviour on the same day rose from the dead. For He was crucified on the day before that of Saturn (Saturday); and on the day after that of Saturn, which is the day of the Sun, having appeared to His apostles and disciples, He taught them these things, which we have submitted to you also for your consideration.
You seem to have a comprehension disconnect.
Nothing you have posted says that the first and seventh day [1/7] of Unleavened Bread [ULB] are called Sabbaths.
Not one single verse in either testament states that 1/7 ULB is/will be observed as a Sabbath.
If you you can, please show me one verse, two or more would be better, which calls 1/7 ULB a Sabbath please do so.
If you can't, let it go, your only reason in trying to make 1/7 ULB Sabbaths is to try to prop up your assumptions/presuppositions about 2 Sabbaths in passion week.
Smoke and mirrors and barnyard fertilizer. I have said several times that ULB is a "Holy Convocation." I have never denied that, what I have repeatedly said is 1/7 ULB are never called a Sabbath in either testament. I have quoted two Jewish sources neither of which says 1/7 ULB are Sabbaths.Naw, that comprehension probably is you, because you not reading correctly. I said it does matter if you don't want to called ULB a High Holy Sabbath, it still a Holy Day to the lord. Leviticus 23:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, (verse 2) Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. Which means holy gathering or simply put, go to church.
It still a Holy Day, they must be observed when the Lord says they must be observed.
Total complete nonsense. There was NO Catholic church with a pope in Rome to change or institute anything until the 11th century when Pope Gregory VII declared himself the head of the church. You see, in the Council of Trent (1545 A.D.), the church leaders ruled that "tradition" is of as great authority as the Bible! They believed that God had given them the authority to change the Bible any way they pleased. By "tradition" they meant human teachings.
The sun was the main god of the heathen even back as far as ancient Babylon. Since they worshiped the sun on Sunday, the compromising church leaders could see that if they changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday, it would accomplish several things. Number one - it would separate them from the Jews who were hated by many of the Romans and who, along with Jesus, (Luke 4:16), had been worshiping on Saturday from the beginning (and still do today). Number two - it would make it much easier for the pagans to come into the church if the Christians met on the same day that the pagan world did.
It worked well. Pagans flocked in by the thousands. Satan's plan of compromise was doing its baleful work. The change was attempted gradually but many of the true hearted, loyal Christians were alarmed. They came to the leaders and wanted to know why they had dared tamper with the law of Almighty God! The church leaders knew this would happen - and they had an answer ready. It's a masterpiece. If a person doesn't know the bible well it sounds good.
The people were told that they were worshiping on Sunday now because Jesus rose from the dead on that day.
There's not even one verse in the Bible that tells us to do this, but that's what they were told. Isn't it amazing! Maybe you've even heard that yourself!
When Emperor Constantine became a Christian, Christianity became the state religion you remember. As thousands of sun-worshipers flocked into the church, it wasn't long before they had a dominating influence. Most of his top officials had been sun-worshipers. Because the Roman government was getting shaky, Constantine consulted with his aides and with the church officials in Rome.
The keeping of Sunday as the Christian sabbath is not of God but of Man. If you are a true Christian, which means a follower of Christ or to be Christ like; then why are you following a day set up by man? We have proved that Paul kept the Lord’s sabbath well after the death and resurrection of Christ. So why are you going to church on the first day of the week? Well if you don’t know history will tell you why.
ORIGIN OF SUNDAY WORSHIP
Ample evidence from history shows that the celebration of Sunday originated from pagan practices of SUN WORSHIP. In March of 321 A.D., the Roman Emperor Constantine, who was at first a sun-worshiper and later a Christian convert, issued the first decree declaring Sunday to be a legal day of rest. In 336 A.D., the Roman Catholic Church officially changed the observance of Sabbath to Sunday for political and economic expediency. Since then, the original Sabbath gradually gave way to Sunday observance and the practice remains to this day.
You seem to be implying that we ARE discounting Jesus' words. You don't believe Jesus used idioms or figures of speech?
You probably never knew Daniel foretold the first time coming of the Messiah. To Jesus being cut off in the middle of the week and Jesus cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. Do you see us sacrificing animal for sin, from around Jesus time to now. You haven't being taught correctly, and now you have a belief problem.
The word Passover is what it's called, not anything else. Leviticus 23:5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord's Passover. This day already past this year.
I haven't made an argument. I put forth a supposition. I have an open mind regarding the day and approximate time; and I will consider all of the facts. However, I strongly lean toward not discounting the words of Yahshua. Are you making an argument for an assertion; or are you supposing regarding the day and approximate time?
If you are making an assertion do you:
1.) discount all modern traditions?
2.) include all modern traditions?
3.) pick and choose?
I asked you a specific question. WHERE did Daniel, as YOU claimed, use or say 3 days and 3 nights? I do not have a belief problem, but you definitely have an interpretation problem... If you didn't know, that is what Pascha means...how about Pesakh?
Total complete nonsense. There was NO Catholic church with a pope in Rome to change or institute anything until the 11th century when Pope Gregory VII declared himself the head of the church.

As I have shown the first sentence, "ample evidence from history shows...", is totally false Repeating the same unsupported rubbish over and over does not make it true.
