Four people, including a child, were killed in a mass shooting at an office complex in Orange, California

Police responded to a call of shots fired around 5:30 p.m. and encountered gunshots when they arrived on the scene, Amat said. Officers engaged the suspect and "an officer-involved shooting did occur," she said.

The suspect was transported to the hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound, Amat said. It's unclear if the suspect's injury was self-inflicted, she said.

The Conspiracy Theory forum would do. Most of these kinds of discussions degenerate pretty quickly into rants about how any suggestion of gun control at all is part of a left-wing conspiracy to disarm true Christian patriots.

Meanwhile, what about gang-related violence, in "Blue" cities, like Chicago? Anyone care??

MY goodness, now you're introducing whataboutism in defence of the gun. It's not a contest to see which city has the most gun violence, nor is it about cars and drunk drivers. Four people including a child died needlessly today and you come out with a post like that.
I know from other posts of yours that guns are important to you, so I'm sure you have noticed that today's tragedy and the violence you highlighted have all got one thing in common. Guns.
Of course, you don't see guns as being a problem, such is your love affair with that instrument of death.
Then again, they do say love is blind.

Oh, also, the deadliest animal in the US based on number of deaths and serious injuries is deer. And yet I think I'd still rather encounter a doe and her fawns when I walk through the woods than I would a mama bear and her cub.

And I'm pretty sure everyone else here would also agree with that sentiment. Probably in part because we can properly contextualize the difference between injuries due to deer vs injuries due to bears.

After seeing several news reports of car thefts in your neighborhood, you might start to believe that such crimes are more common than they are.
You might believe that plane crashes are more common than they really are because you can easily think of several examples.

Great that you recognize, that like most Americans, you have been victimized by MSM. Their profit-driven lust for "headlines & hype" causes them to air the absolute most sensational attention-grabbing events, even while most of America is much much more affected by other more "mundane" and (often tragically) common occurrences. Awesome that you're waking up and acknowledging your victimization.

Soon you will even stop automatically blaming "Middle America" for everything the MSM cunningly chooses to televise.
