What if Jesus comes tomorrow and it turns out these scriptures mean exactly as they read?

So where's the part in scripture about having the Mass in Latin?
Huh? There is no such requirement. But why do you think it would need to be in Scripture?

News flash, when that happens He turns the world over to His Father. Since that hasn’t happened yet, neither has the other.
You says, but nobody else.

Actually, you might be surprised how many folks ascribe to various doctrines that you find to be bizarre and outrageous. As they say, people who live in glass houses . . .
The Jews thought Jesus’ teaching bizarre and outrageous.

Latin was chosen for the mass for the same reason it was chosen for Bible, it had become the common tongue. Latin morphed into various languages over the centuries, such as Italian, French, and Spanish.
The universal language of the Church was Latin.

Just don't tell that to our EO friends.

You know the Bible wasn’t written in Latin, right?

Curiously, only under pressure did he relent to translating the deutercanonical books.
You were there? Who do you think put pressure on this saint? Jerome did the right thing by bringing up the fact that a group of Jews rejected not only the Gospels, but some of the OT books as well. The Jews were bound to criticize.

The Jews assuredly did not criticize Jerome. It was the church authorities who put the screws on him. His objection was primarily historical and linguistic and IMO entirely reasonable. BTW, the Jewish Bible does not include any of the deutercanonical books.

Please cite any documentation you have to support your allegation of the "church authorities who put the screws on him."

Saint Jerome translated many of the 73 books of the Bible into Latin. It is called the Vulgate.
Saint Martin translated it into German. Saint William translated into English. Still none of them wrote a single book of the Bible.
