The mass is in Latin in only extremely conservative parishes. In the vast majority of RCC parishes the mass is said the vernacular tongues of the congregation.

Latin was chosen for the mass for the same reason it was chosen for Bible, it had become the common tongue. Latin morphed into various languages over the centuries, such as Italian, French, and Spanish.
The universal language of the Church was Latin.

Saint Jerome translated many of the 73 books of the Bible into Latin. It is called the Vulgate.

You were there? Who do you think put pressure on this saint? Jerome did the right thing by bringing up the fact that a group of Jews rejected not only the Gospels, but some of the OT books as well. The Jews were bound to criticize.

The Jews assuredly did not criticize Jerome. It was the church authorities who put the screws on him. His objection was primarily historical and linguistic and IMO entirely reasonable. BTW, the Jewish Bible does not include any of the deutercanonical books.

Saint Martin translated it into German. Saint William translated into English. Still none of them wrote a single book of the Bible.
