The whole event is critically important to the Congressional Democrats' narrative of a supposed "insurrection"...

but the factors involved with this deliberate, unnecessary shooting of an unarmed Ashli Babbitt by an employee of the federal government do not square with the stereotype of crazed, gun-toting, lawless terrorists that they want publicized.
We will see if her estate tries to sue the Federal Government for “wrongful death”, then, shall we?

I used your phrase to make a broader point aimed at the general responses I'm seeing on this thread. It wasn't about you individually.
For future reference, if you quote someone, your response is assumed to be directed at them. If you want to address other responses, you should quote them.

OK, I can see that. My apologies :)

How would they know she was unarmed? She wasn't waving a weapon around, but that doesn't mean that she couldn't have had a gun holstered/in a pocket/tucked in her waistband. They had intelligence that suggested that there were armed people in the crowd. Others were carrying/using improvised weapons (flag poles, fire extinguishers, etc). She was leading the charge into a restricted area where the people that the officer was charged with protecting were sheltering. He fired one shot. I would consider that a reasonable use of force. Had he not done so, I have no doubt that more people would have died. Whether those be the rioters ready to follow her through the window, their targets -members of Congress and the Vice President, or the officers charged with protecting them.
Said every white cop who very shot an unarmed black man.

Funny how you never came rushing to the defence of any of those unarmed black men, yet feel compelled to do so for this white woman.

Obviously it was effective, but reasonable is debatable.
What, in your opinion, is a reasonable response from security to an angry mob attempting to force entry to a barricaded room containing the people they are tasked with protecting?

Considering the number of high profile government VIPs in the building at the time, I think it was a more than reasonable response. A bit underhanded, even.

This isn't a "left-winger" or a "right-winger" issue. This is an American and human rights issue. Unless you're one of those who think white lives don't matter, or conservatives' lives don't matter, or female lives don't matter, we all should be concerned as to why Ashli Babbitt was fatally shot.

Drop the tribalism, and earnestly seek the answers to ALL the questions in the OP. This may be a difficult/impossible request for some, but at least TRY to be impartial, and just follow the evidence ... wherever it may lead.

But we know why Ashli Babbit was shot. She was trying to climb through a window that had just been broken by an angry mob, and the officer was tasked with protecting our Congressman who where in the next room. The shoot was investigated, by a different agency which is more then most cases, and they determined it was a justified shooting.

As much obfuscation as may be heaped upon this matter it leads to a very simple answer, whoever was the first one who crawled thought the breach was going to be met with lethal force. Babbitt chose to throw her life away doing so.

As I said earlier, play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

The same response from security to an angry mob attempting to force entry to a barricaded federal courthouse they are tasked with protecting. Like the courthouse that BLM activists tried to burn down in Portland? Or perhaps the same response from Seattle police to an angry mob attempting to force entry to a barricaded precinct building?
