Romans 1 pretty much settles that much if not all of unnatural sexual relations have a spiritual basis, plain and simple. People reject the true God and they get turned over. This law is a violation of Christian liberty and religious freedom. If we can not help people see the light in Jesus Christ, we have lost our salt. The devil always strives to take things off limits. He especially loves the nations that do not allow the bible. Leaders who are ignorant of the spiritual side of this equation often do side with the devil. Once this new norm is accepted, I wonder what will be next?

As for church people in any nation where any Christian liberty is forbidden, we are required to disregard the law. Submitting to government authorities only goes so far. When they violate your ability to preach the truth, counsel and carry on the Great Commission you shall follow God and not government in this area. At some point we must be willing to go to jail if necessary. As a practical matter I would think it very hard to define "conversion therapy." Would it include a deliverance session? Would it include sharing Romans 1? Perhaps the focus at the moment would just be licensed Christian counseling? If that is the case there is still room to maneuver. If anyone knows exactly what would be prohibited that would be great.

This will vary from country to country - in New Zealand's case it is all encompassing. This is because it is seen as a violation of human rights to attempt to change the way folk are born. So to counsel or pray with folks suffering from Gender Dysphoria will be illegal.

There has to be some grey areas. What if they show up at a prayer meeting? What if they do not disclose their "special" status? Either way, if any sincerely asked for help, a true Christian I believe would be obliged to assist them. I suppose we could fund a ship in international waters to help people. It is not yet a violation of international law that I know of.

A nationwide poll has found that there is widespread opposition to the legal effects of a ‘conversion therapy’ ban. 81% of respondents said they believed a person should be able to seek counselling support to determine their own direction.

Under a proposed ban on ‘conversion therapy’, people would be prevented from getting help to live the lifestyle they choose – if that lifestyle is heterosexual or based on their biological sex. While gender and sexuality are supposedly ‘fluid’, activists want the law to stipulate that it can only go in the direction they approve.

Banning practices which bring about positive change for people in pain, changes they genuinely desire for themselves, would be the real crime.

The problem here is some of us are trying to broad-brush everyone as potential cheaters, where I'm simply saying, "Don't write anyone off as a cheater until they've actually been caught cheating." Time and truth go hand-in-hand. Given enough time, the truth eventually comes out.

Since when did marriage become some sort of thoughtcrime?!?? :rage:

Both the thought and the act are sin.

Mt 15:18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.”

Mt 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
