As you can already suggest by my username... my favorite passage from the Bible is Luke 23:34

"Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots."

Jesus said in the context that he was being crucified and killed, but it can be applied for everything. We need forgiveness.
Also, everytime I remember this passage it brings me many good feelings of how merciful He is and how much He loves us. It's just... impressive. It just makes me feel really good things.

What is yours favorite passages and why? I really want to hear your opinions and thoughts about.

I love 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, which is in my signature below!

To me, it gives meaning to all the trials we all go through in life.

i have a depressive illness and often times have to battle depression for long periods of times, i long for life with Jesus in the ultimate setting of life.

My favourite text is Revelation 21:1-7
"Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”

He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children.

Beyond John 3:16, which to me is the Gospel in a nutshell, a personal favorite would be:
2 Corinthians 6:18 “I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the Lord Almighty.”

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

I also like this passage a lot.

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;” (Titus 2:11-12).

And I also love this verse, too.

“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1).

These are another of my favorite two pieces of Scripture.

Proverbs 25:2
“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.”

Revelation 1:6
“And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”

Note: These two verses are connected to each other. For we are the kings who are to to search out a matter that God conceals for His glory.

This leads me to another favorite verse of mine that only appears more accurately in the KJB (King James Bible).

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15) (KJB).

Another passage that has been standing out as one my favorites lately is Matthew 11:16-17.

“But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows, And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.” (Matthew 11:16-17).

The New King James says for verse 17:

“We played the flute for you, And you did not dance;”

Note: This verse was used for one my favorite Christian films called, “Play the Flute” which recently came out on DVD at ChristianMovies.com (if anyone is interested).

Here is the trailer:

"Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise." ~ Jeremiah 17:14

I love this verse because God has healed me from many things and saved me from many perilous situations...

Amen!

Daniel’s Vision of the Son of Man

Dan 7

13 In my vision in the night I continued to watch,

and I saw One like the Son of Man

coming with the clouds of heaven.

He approached the Ancient of Days

and was led into His presence.

14 And He was given dominion,

glory, and kingship,

that the people of every nation and language

should serve Him.

His dominion is an everlasting dominion

that will not pass away,

and His kingdom is one

that will never be destroyed...

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." - Deuteronomy 31:6

Very inspiring and motivational one.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
