Wow, that's cool! I like your gaming mindset. All I play is Sims Freeplay now. I can control the story line and keep out the negative elements. I used to play another but the symbolism became too much. I didn't want it in my head and I stopped.

How long will it take you to reach the end?
Aside from the no-doubt five to ten hours of grinding levels I will no doubt have to do in order to possibly be a match for the final boss, as is common in the earlier Final Fantasy games, it will probably be another twenty to thirty hours of gameplay.

Said five to ten hours of level grinding I think is done now, Bella. Now I embark on the journey through the final stages of the game today. .... And there's no save point the entire time. I'm thinking it will take about two hours, and I can't lose a fight at any time - including against the final boss The Cloud of Darkness herself - or else all of that time is lost. Wish me luck in saving the world and restoring the balance between Light and Darkness today, Bella. ^-^

Luneth (Will, Sarah's Knight, myself, of course ^-^ ) has stayed a regular Knight this entire time, and will be taking on the Cloud of Darkness as such. As a knight he is not only strong with the sword, but capable of taking more physical damage from enemy attacks and can step in to take the damage on others' behalf when they are bring targeted. A definite ideal "protector" =>
Luneth-Knight.png

Arc has the job of what is called a Magus, the strongest kind of spellcaster in the game =>

Refia is a lower-level job called a Red Mage, who is more of a jack of all trades than a master of one like the other characters' jobs, so I will be at a bit of a disadvantage in fighting the last battle with her, but I am doing this purposefully for something of a self-imposed challenge on this playthrough, like with Will staying a regular knight rather than Dark Knight or something higher =>

And finally Ingus - who is actually a real knight and protector of a princess in his backstory - is our Geomancer, a warrior who can call upon the very elements of the planet itself to fight monsters =>

But I kinda got hooked on the community here and reading the Controversial Theology forum.

O_O

What are you doing in that forum?! Stay away before you become a crackpot like the rest of us there, Isaiah! :p

If you keep poking around there ... *gasp* ... you might become a conditionalist like me ... or, worse and most "heretical" yet, a UNIVERSALIST CHRISTIAN! dun dun DUNNNN ...!!!

(As in, I joke and I condemn neither groups because both still acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord, Son of God, and only Savior, even though the mainstream, "traditional" types tend to very mistakenly condemn them.)

*grimaces and rubs upper arm*

I was one of those types who never minded the needle part of getting a shot (finally received the vaccination shot yesterday) ... but rather, to me it's the slight perpetual ache that stays in that spot where you got injected over the next few days, that kind of sucks.

Wow, good luck! I like the characters. They're cute. :)

D&D Heroes was similar for the final battle. If you lost you returned to a specific point and had to slog through that to reach the final round again. The game was fun but you can't win without the elf wizard. That's the role I played. You suffer fewer casualties and that's important at the end.

Any thought on new job should be immediately shunned until after I get back from vacation.

But I wish something in finance department would open here. At this point I know the industry & want to stay in it. But nothing here opens for what I want to do. So I feel stuck.

That was my original intention, tbh. But I kinda got hooked on the community here and reading the Controversial Theology forum. Can't stay away. lol

Well, I'm glad you decided to stay. I'm sure the rest of us feel that way too. :)

I'm surprised people still throw their trash out the car window. For some reason, I noticed the considerable amount in the bar ditch driving home from work yesterday. There were a lot of fast food cups and food packages. I don't get it. Y'all can't hold on to it a few more miles until you're near a proper trash can?

Growing up in the late 70s/early 80s I was definitely touched by the crying Indian commercials (he was Italian American, but that's beside the point). As a 5 or 6 year old, I was definitely not going to make the Indians cry.

I also don't see many "adopt a highway" signs anymore. I think we've dropped the ball.

Amen to that. It seems to be just as much trouble to try to pick up your trash out of the nearby seat or floorboard and aim it out the opposite window, as it is to just wait until you get home and take it inside to throw away properly, anyway. I actually did a safety topic griping about this very thing with highway litter at work a year or so ago. ^_^
Comes from being raised by an environmentalist mother, I guess.

So I've been quite distracted for the past two weeks. Most of the time my distraction was Let's Go Eevee! (which I'm still playing by the way), but yesterday I was distracted by Bomberman. I meant to work on some more digital art and instead somehow got into looking at all this random Pokemon and Bomberman stuff. Some of it was kinda weird. o_O

But the good thing that came out of it is that now I actually have a new story idea! There was a Bomberman game being made for the 3DS ten years ago, but sadly it was canceled. :destroyed: Not much is known about it but from what I read it sounds like it would have been fun and exciting. I probably would have enjoyed it...anyway, it inspired me to try making a story based on what is known about it! :idea1: I've already got some ideas and it should be fun and exciting to write.

...I would love to share the story but I'm not sure if I want to post it on Fanfiction. My views and ideas on the Bomberman series and characters are different from those of some of the other fans and I tend to add my own stuff. I'll think about it. :mmh:

That ends my random long post. ^_^ Hope you've all been doing well!

Not a single word of that went in. Lol.

You could rewrite it Portuguese and I'd be none the wiser.

I ended up going to Dave & Buster's & the grocery store. It's already 9pm so was good distraction. D&B was PACKED. Also, I found myself playing more of the carnival-type games than the video games.

No, never tried it.
tsk tsk

I'm not sure I have heard or even thought of this show since I was but a very little SK (like just 7 to 8 years old) until tonight, but the theme song suddenly popped into my head tonight so I had to look it up on YT, and now I remember being tickled pink by it at such a young age, and my then-preteen sister made fun of me for it once (because I would have been only 7 ^_^) when I was drawing in my room something related to the show - probably one of the cute girl cast members, knowing me :p). Although, i do not remember if I ever even bothered to watch a single episode in its entirety. I may have just seen this intro segment in passing on tv at the time and liked it for its upbeatness and positivity. Briefly looking up the show's history on Wikipedia and a few other links just now, apparently it does put a focus on positive messages like equality and diversity, and a hope for one's future. Seems like a age-6-to-preteen-centered version of Nickelodeon's short-lived Roundhouse, perhaps. (Really hate that part at the end where a cast member keeps leaping up into the air and becoming a letter, though.)

Since you are close to my age, Miss @bèlla , were you a 90's tv kid who knew of this show, also? Or anyone else? ^-^

And remembering this has somehow also sparked a memory some years later of being in the 8th grade and performing as Benvolio in the sword duel scenes from Romeo and Juliet, for a school renaissance fair.

... And boy did I suck at acting. ^_^

Seriously, I am hearing myself as Benvolio loudly speaking the opening lines to that scene "I pray thee, good Mercutio, let us retire ....!" for everyone gathered around the small stage where my friends and I were performing that scene on repeat all day. I was super hammy.

But hey, guess who is the only one out of the four male characters - Benvolio, Mercutio, Romeo, and Tybalt - featured in that segment of the story to still live at the end? ... Benvolio, baby! :cool1:Perhaps precisely because he was the only pacifist to never draw a sword.

Insomnia, so my mind is buzzing. Need to walk a colleague through a testing procedure tomorrow so she can begin collecting data when her population is ready to be sampled. Have a paper in progress I'm hoping to publish eventually, so I'm thinking about that and how to say what I need to say, thorough, scientifically accurate and rigorous, but concise and eloquent.

I'm also quite hungry. I'd like a snack. I won't have one though because I'll wind up eating something carbohydrate-heavy and overly salty if I give into the temptation. It's psychological hunger, so it's relatively easy to tame.
