John 13:27~ As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. So Jesus told him, "What you are about to do, do quickly."

Here it says "Satan entered into him." Jesus actually told Satan to do his work, not Judas. It seems Judas was possessed no?

Controversial to excuse him but I'm just throwing out the possibility that Judas was not in control of his body at the time.

Matthew 19, I always thought this was interesting:

27 “Look,” Peter replied, “we have left everything to follow You. What then will there be for us?” 28 Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, in the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

"Truly I tell you"
12 thrones for the 12 Apostles judging the 12 tribes...

Et tu, Judas?

This might seem harsh to you, but no human being is their own master. You can choose between God and the devil, there is no 3rd option.
Please elaborate...........I think there could be a message worth revealing here.

Do you think Satan can enter a spirit filled Christian? I don't. "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other..."

? Was Judas a victim of predestination
Woah.......(boom!) Mind Officially Blown.

How could Judas resist his predestination to betray Christ? If you look at it that way, he really didn't have a choice, nor did he choose to hang himself from the guilt if he was predestined to.

Makes me wonder what I'm predestined to do. Is there any way to get the information included in your destiny in advance?

If we start to question the culpability and guilt of Judas, then what about Pontius? Everyone involved was part of Gods plan. It may seem unfair, but Gods thoughts are not our thoughts, his ways are not are ways. If God does something, it is always just, right and fair. Judas lacked a saving faith, he knew who Jesus was, but did not trust in him as savior of the world.

At that point, Christ had not been crowned so they were still just Israelites (Jews). Judas didn't survive to the resurrection.

I think you are on to something here. Judas had made arrangements before Christ told him to go to his accusers so he was on track to betray him already.

Key words being "at that time". He had already made his choice. It's a strange theory to think Jesus was saying he approved.

Well, throughout the Bible you will find two sides only: God and Satan. Good and bad. Fleshly and spiritually. Righteous and unrighteous. There is never a third party, there is no "neutral".

Jesus said "whoever is not with me is against me". The devil received power on this earth, and he's in control of those who don't belong to God. Jesus' death did not just save us from hell, it also freed us from the devil's grasp (which is the reason why Paul talks so much about the new life we shall live and the new nature we got).

Judas knew that Jesus had a death wish but was Judas trying to destroy Him or save Him from Himself (that goodwill also being a sin because it was His will he followed and not God's, the usual way of man, a lose lose situation), thinking He would be punished and released. The Sanhedrin did not have the authourity to execute so why assume the outcome would be more than punishment?

That's my question in this piece:

Will Judas Be Forgiven?

If Judas was predestined to betray Christ, then I find it impossible to say that God is love. Would love really create sentient beings whose only purpose was to serve an end and then suffer intolerable torment forever? That really doesn't sound like love to me.

God is love. Tell me how love creates ex nihlo, with no need to do so, sentient beings whose only purpose is to suffer? Does that in any way meet the standard defintion of love or the biblical definition?
