Revelation 11:
16
And the twenty-four elders who sat before God on their thrones fell on their faces
and worshiped God,
17 saying: We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was
and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned.
18 The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that
they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and
the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those
who destroy the earth.

"And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and
the saints, And those who fear Your name..."

Matthew 10:
40
He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.
41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward.
And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a
righteous man’s reward.

42 And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.

Psalm 58:
10 The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance;
He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked,
11. So that men will say, Surely there is a reward for the righteous;
Surely He is God who judges in the earth.

Lev 18 says God will destroy entire nations - even pagan nations with no access to the Bible at all - if they cross "certain lines".

26 But as for you, you are to keep My statutes and My judgments and shall not do any of these abominations, neither the native, nor the alien who sojourns among you 27 (for the men of the land who have been before you have done all these abominations, and the land has become defiled); 28 so that the land will not spew you out, should you defile it, as it has spewed out the nation which has been before you. 29 For whoever does any of these abominations, those persons who do so shall be cut off from among their people. 30 Thus you are to keep My charge, that you do not practice any of the abominable customs which have been practiced before you, so as not to defile yourselves with them; I am the Lord your God.’”

So then doing those abominations -- "a bad thing"
And also destroying the Earth - "a bad thing"

Nice comment. The period of time of slavery in Egypt is linked to the nations occupying
the land, and their iniquity not having come to the full.
Genesis 15:
13
Then He said to Abram: “Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land
not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years.
14 And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions.
15 Now as for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age.
16 But in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.

Does this not suggest that the Israelite time in slavery "bore the iniquity for the land"?
Numbers 18:1 Then the Lord said to Aaron: You and your sons and your father’s house with you shall bear the iniquity related to the sanctuary, and you and your sons with you shall bear the iniquity associated with your priesthood.

Those who question that God was somehow authorizing genocide against the Amorites should
understand that once their iniquity was full, the land itself would have destroyed them.
We know of the mysterious disappearance of entire civilizations, such as in S. and C. America. Speculation includes plague, natural disaster, etc..
Things that are spoken of specifically that defile the land include:
sexual immorality, the spilling of innocent blood, sacrifices to idol,
and the keeping of idols (images, Asherah poles etc...) in the land.
