Good morning!

Guys after looking around the internet more and more I have a question needing your guidance over my own.

This might be the most important thing I do for the rest of my life so please answer quickly, wisely and above all with things in mind to carry alongside my infinite soul. For this means everything to me right now.

Alright so after looking around on the internet for years now I have had things come to mind several times without understanding the means and road ahead.

Is abusing the internet abusing its contents?

After looking up recieving the Holy Spirit upon the life of a website, I feel rights and wrongs. This and thats. Fake and real things. Please understand how important it is to realize things and honestly what I’m trying to say is that the Spirit of God has lead me here, now.

After typing just about everything into a Google search bar.. am I abusing these things found within the internet? The contents make me associated by browsing site after site.. sure. Am I at terms with abuse or am I simply making things up in my mind?

The world I’ve experienced has had Google for about 20 years and I’m 27. Do I abuse stuff found at this point? I’m not sure how to fully understand this stuff and need your help.

Hello Phillip and welcome to CF

There is nothing wrong with seeking to find the truth of God's Word or to seek knowledge that is useful for life. Keep in mind with the internet there are good things and there are bad things on it.

If your seeking bad things of course it is wrong, if your seeking good things of course it is right and good. So the question you may want to consider is what is the standard of good (moral right doing) and bad or evil (which means moral wrong doing)?

In the scriptures the standard of moral right doing and moral wrong doing are God's 10 commandments and God's Word. According to the scriptures God's 10 commandments give us the knowledge of good (moral right doing) and evil (moral wrong doing); sin and righteousness *Romans 3:20; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4; Psalms 119:172. According to the scriptures if we break anyone of God' s 10 commandments in thought word and action we stand guilty before God of sin *James 2:10-11; Romans 3:19-20; Matthew 5:28; Matthew 15:19-20.

God's 10 commandments can be found in *Exodus 20:8-11 and all through the new testament scriptures (scriptures linked)

So based on the above according to the scriptures God will convict us of sin or breaking his commandments if we are breaking them by searching for internet content that is against His laws.

Jesus says unless we are born again with a new heart to love we cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven *John 3:3-7; 1 John 3:6-9 and love is expressed through obedience to Gods law according to Paul not by breaking them *Romans 13:8-10; Romans 3:31 and Romans 8:1-4.

God's promise of salvation and forgiveness are conditional as we believe and follow His Word and seek him through faith, repentance and confession of sins. Some scripture support can be found here in John 3:16-19; Acts of the Apostles 2:28; 3:19; John 8:31-36; Jeremiah 28:13; 1 John 1:9; Proverbs 28:13; Proverbs 8:17; Matthew 6:33; John 14:15; John 15:10.

Hope this is helpful and nice to meet you. :)

The internet is like "the highway system" with billboards, advertising and directions - it can take you to good places and to bad ones.

You decide where you choose to go - the internet provides the means to get there.
