Hi, I like the fact that you love so much Jesus and I want to know why you love him so much. my parents say to me that Jesus is just a normal person and Im confused and I cant love him that much like christian, but I feel that I do for some strange reason, so I need some guidance
Jesus came to me in a dream and saved me from a horror. He spoke to me in other dreams. This is what he was like;
Calm.
There was no powerful trumped up rhetoric. He wasn't trying to push me to do anything or persuade me in any way. He wasn't angry at me nor did he chastise me. He just calmly and warmly answered some questions I had.
Sincere.
There was no hidden motive or agenda. No pretending. He spoke well, gently and He told the truth. This is more pleasant than you'd think.
He was patient.
He didn't shout or throw wrath around. He wasn't all pumped up and fiery (I could sense He had deep burning love). He lead me through an experience that was designed to teach me something. He didn't say much unless I had a question. He stood behind me as I worked through the experience, He behaved like a protective father figure as I explored around - He was ready to help if needed but wanted me to experience myself. You'd think having someone watching over me would make me restricted, but, I felt complete freedom as I explored. I felt real liberty.
Kind.
He's kinder than everyone thinks - He is kinder than you would believe. I have heard a lot of people speaking about God's wrath, His anger and all these other aggressive and fearful things. That wasn't my experience of Jesus though. He was very very kind. You're not going to be afraid of Him, you will love and respect Him. You will deeply admire Him, but no fear as far as I could tell. (I once felt God come to me in part in a dream - the feeling was very tremendous and serious, but there was no fear at all - you stood up straight out of respect, awe, worship ..... but not fear).
Humour.
He has spoken to me with a great sense of humour. He can have you in stitches it's so funny. His humour isn't rude and doesn't demean, but does relieve you of your own sense of self importance. We take ourselves too seriously. His jokes are hard to explain because they are quite sophisticated and don't work if retold (you have to be there). A single joke delivered in one sentence can contain; your own personal context, light heartedness, can highlight incongruity, can gently highlight a foolish project, not to mention mercy, correction (you'll laugh at yourself), encouragement, adoration - all in a single sentence, you'll laugh, and it's a divine relief to be unburdened by our own seriousness and sense of self importance.
Love and Peace.
In some dreams, He gave me the highest form of peace and love I have ever felt. The peace - absolutely everything in all creation is under control and everything everywhere will come to peace and perfection under God's will and plan. This sort of peace doesn't fit into logic but is real anyway. It's our destiny in increasing measure. The love He gave me was tremendous as well.
My post is already too long, so I'll stop here, but that's some of the reasons I love Jesus. We are made to Love God.
