Revelation 14:6-12: The Three Angels' Messages
Bible prophecy is being fulfilled by the day. In these present times, the end times, the Three Angels' Messages are ever-present, urgent reminders that the return of Jesus is nigh, even at the doors. These messages give us clear indicators to look for, to prepare for the last events.

The First Angel's Message - True Worship
The first angel is calling God's people to true worship in Him, because the hour of His judgment is come.

Revelation 14:6-7 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

The Second Angel's Message - False Worship
The second angel is warning against false worship. Spiritual Babylon is fallen and has made the nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

Revelation 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

The Third Angel's Message - The Mark and The Seal
Jesus is warning us that the wrath of God is going to be poured out in full. It won't be held back.

Revelation 14:9-11 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
Conclusion
True worship is the keeping of the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus and patience through life's trials and/or the end time tribulation.

False worship is worship of the image of the beast and the mark of his name—via one or more of the following:
  • A falling away from Christianity in some way (lukewarmness or coldness; Laodicea; Revelation 3:14-22).
  • A church or doctrine that goes against the keeping of the commandments of God, or has changed the commandments of God to suit its own purposes.
  • A church or doctrine not founded in faith in Jesus (His testimony), but deviates from it in some way(s).
  • A church or doctrine guilty of fornication; either adultery or the worship of idols (Strong's G4204), or both.
These are clear, sobering truths that can help us receive the Seal of God and not the mark of the beast.

Great post Freth!

These verses clearly tell us what the mark of the beast is about. Worship.

Also why the last verses in the Bible tells us:

Revelations 22:14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

So many churches now only teach 9 or 8 of God’s commandments when He has 10 written in our hearts in the Second Covenant.

I didn't come out and say it in my post, but that was the gist. The Seal of God is found in the Ten Commandments—God's holy day of worship.

Whether you receive the mark of the beast or the Seal of God is determined by worship.

Revelation 14:9
And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

Revelation 14:11
And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Revelation 16:2
And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image.

Revelation 19:20
And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

Revelation 20:4
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
So many Christians are asleep to the fact that worship is the main determining factor that needs to be addressed in the end time. If you are not following God's law, specifically His day of worship, you may well receive the mark.

Also, I heard Europe is close to implementing the “Sunday Law”. I know the pope has been making his rounds with the world leaders pushing his national day of rest that will not be on God’s day of rest.

Laudato Si

71. Although “the wickedness of man was great in the earth” (Gen 6:5) and the Lord “was sorry that he had made man on the earth” (Gen 6:6), nonetheless, through Noah, who remained innocent and just, God decided to open a path of salvation. In this way he gave humanity the chance of a new beginning. All it takes is one good person to restore hope! The biblical tradition clearly shows that this renewal entails recovering and respecting the rhythms inscribed in nature by the hand of the Creator. We see this, for example, in the law of the Sabbath. On the seventh day, God rested from all his work. He commanded Israel to set aside each seventh day as a day of rest, a Sabbath, (cf. Gen 2:2-3; Ex 16:23; 20:10). Similarly, every seven years, a sabbatical year was set aside for Israel, a complete rest for the land (cf. Lev 25:1-4), when sowing was forbidden and one reaped only what was necessary to live on and to feed one’s household (cf. Lev 25:4-6). Finally, after seven weeks of years, which is to say forty-nine years, the Jubilee was celebrated as a year of general forgiveness and “liberty throughout the land for all its inhabitants” (cf. Lev 25:10). This law came about as an attempt to ensure balance and fairness in their relationships with others and with the land on which they lived and worked. At the same time, it was an acknowledgment that the gift of the earth with its fruits belongs to everyone. Those who tilled and kept the land were obliged to share its fruits, especially with the poor, with widows, orphans and foreigners in their midst: “When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap your field to its very border, neither shall you gather the gleanings after the harvest. And you shall not strip your vineyard bare, neither shall you gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and for the sojourner” (Lev 19:9-10).

Notice the bending of the meaning of the Sabbath for the "green" agenda.

And the adoption of Sunday into the mix, by their own authority.

237. On Sunday, our participation in the Eucharist has special importance. Sunday, like the Jewish Sabbath, is meant to be a day which heals our relationships with God, with ourselves, with others and with the world. Sunday is the day of the Resurrection, the “first day” of the new creation, whose first fruits are the Lord’s risen humanity, the pledge of the final transfiguration of all created reality. It also proclaims “man’s eternal rest in God” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2175). In this way, Christian spirituality incorporates the value of relaxation and festivity. We tend to demean contemplative rest as something unproductive and unnecessary, but this is to do away with the very thing which is most important about work: its meaning. We are called to include in our work a dimension of receptivity and gratuity, which is quite different from mere inactivity. Rather, it is another way of working, which forms part of our very essence. It protects human action from becoming empty activism; it also prevents that unfettered greed and sense of isolation which make us seek personal gain to the detriment of all else. The law of weekly rest forbade work on the seventh day, “so that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your maidservant, and the stranger, may be refreshed” (Ex 23:12). Rest opens our eyes to the larger picture and gives us renewed sensitivity to the rights of others. And so the day of rest, centred on the Eucharist, sheds it light on the whole week, and motivates us to greater concern for nature and the poor.

There is a movement going on behind the scenes for Sunday rest. Laudato Si is just one aspect. There's the "Green Sabbath"on Sunday. Leaders around the world have been pushing for Sunday rest for some time. The virus has given them the perfect opportunity to advance this idea of a false Sabbath—for the "common good" and for the earth to "rest". These are just precursors to actual enforcement.

What people don't realize is everyone used to keep the seventh day Sabbath and the Roman Catholic church openly admits they changed the day of worship without any scripture authority. They openly admit (and seem proud) when you go to church on Sunday you are obeying a commandment of the Catholic church, not a commandment of God.

It is well to remind the Presbyterians, Baptists, Methodists, and all other Christians, that the Bible does not support them anywhere in their observance of Sunday. Sunday is an institution of the Roman Catholic Church, and those who observe the day observe a commandment of the Catholic Church.
—Priest Brady, in an address, reported in the Elizabeth, NJ ‘News’ on March 18, 1903.

Protestants ... accept Sunday rather than Saturday as the day for public worship after the Catholic Church made the change... But the Protestant mind does not seem to realize that ... in observing Sunday, they are accepting the authority of the spokesman for the Church, the pope.
—Our Sunday Visitor, February 5th, 1950.

A. Had she not such power, she could not have done that in which all modern religionists agree with her; —she could not have substituted the observance of Sunday the first day of the week, for the observance of Saturday the Seventh day, a change for which there is no Scriptural authority.
—Rev. Stephen Keenan, A Doctrinal Catechism; New York in 1857, page 174

Jesus even warns us about keeping commandments of man. Matthew 15:8,9

Sabbath keeping was the big factor with the The Council of Trent

The Reformers had constantly charged ... that the Catholic Church had apostatized from the truth as contained in the written word. "The written word," "The Bible and the Bible only," "Thus saith the Lord," these were their constant watchwords; and "The Scripture, as in the written word, the sole standard of appeal," this was the proclaimed platform of the Reformation and of Protestantism.

Scripture alone or Scripture and tradition?
Council-of-Trent-2.jpg
"The Scripture and tradition." "The Bible as interpreted by the Church and according to the unanimous consent of the Father," this was the position and claim of the Catholic Church. This was the main issue in the Council of Trent, which was called especially to consider the questions that had been raised and forced upon the attention of Europe by the Reformers. The very first question concerning faith that was considered by the council was the question involved in this issue.

There was a strong party even of the Catholics within the council who were in favor of abandoning tradition and adopting the Scriptures only, as the standard of authority. This view was so decidedly held in the debates in the council that the pope's legates actually wrote to him that there was "a strong tendency to set aside tradition altogether and to make Scripture the sole standard of appeal." But to do this would manifestly be to go a long way toward justifying the claims of the Protestants. By this crisis there was developed upon the ultra-Catholic portion of the council the task of convincing the others that "Scripture and tradition" were the only sure ground to stand upon. If this could be done, the council could be carried to issue a decree condemning the Reformation, otherwise not. The question was debated day after day, until the council was fairly brought to a standstill.

The Archbishop of Reggio
Finally, after a long and intensive mental strain, the Archbishop of Reggio came into the council with substantially the following argument to the party who held for Scripture alone: "The Protestants claim to stand upon the written word only. They profess to hold the Scripture alone as the standard of faith. They justify their revolt by the plea that the Church has apostatized from the written word and follows tradition. Now the Protestants' claim, that they stand upon the written word only, is not true. Their profession of holding the Scripture alone as the standard of faith, is false.

PROOF: The written word explicitly enjoins the observance of the seventh day as the Sabbath. They do not observe the seventh day, but reject it. If they do truly hold the Scripture alone as their standard, they would be observing the seventh day as is enjoined in the Scripture throughout. Yet they not only reject the observance of the Sabbath enjoined in the written word, but they have adopted and do practice the observance of Sunday, for which they have only the tradition of the Church. Consequently the claim of 'Scripture alone as the standard,' fails; and the doctrine of 'Scripture and tradition' as essential, is fully established, the Protestants themselves being judges."

There was no getting around this, for the Protestants' own statement of faith -- the Augsburg Confession, 1530 -- had clearly admitted that "the observation of the Lord's day" had been appointed by "the Church" only.

The argument was hailed in the council as of Inspiration only; the party for "Scripture alone," surrendered; and the council at once unanimously condemned Protestantism and the whole Reformation as only an unwarranted revolt from the communion and authority of the Catholic Church; and proceeded, April 8, 1546, "to the promulgation of two decrees, the first of which enacts, under anathema, that Scripture and tradition are to be received and venerated equally, and that the deutero-canonical [the apocryphal] books are part of the canon of Scripture. ...

Inconsistency brings defeat
Thus it was the inconsistency of the Protestant practice with the Protestant profession that gave to the Catholic Church her long-sought and anxiously desired ground upon which to condemn Protestantism and the whole Reformation movement as only a selfishly ambitious rebellion against church authority. And in this vital controversy the key, the chiefest, and culminative expression, of the Protestant inconsistency was in the rejection of the Sabbath of the Lord, the seventh day, enjoined in the Scriptures, and the adoption and observance of the Sunday as enjoined by the Catholic Church.

That's the reason for the Three Angel Message in Revelations to bring people back to worshipping God on His chosen Holy day, the seventh day, His Sabbath. Exodus 20:8-11 not the day made by man that leads you to break God's 4th commandment.

You all are not Remembering the correct Sabbath. It is not a particular day of the week that was to be Remembered. Saturday was the day set aside to Remember the Original Sabbath.

The emphasis was never on making Saturday or any day of the week set a side for worship. Worship is a 7 day a week blessing. It was a day of rest. God's command was to work 6 days a week. Thank God the NT allowed for a second day of rest. God allowed us to only work 5 days instead of 6. Why complain that we should still work 6 days?

The Sabbath to Remember was a 1000 year Lord's Day. After the 6 days of creation God let the world continue for 1000 years before He planted the Garden of Eden and placed Adam in the Garden.

Why does no one obey God’s command to Remember that first 1000 years without sin? The next 1000 years will be the 8th day of completion where sin is no longer allowed in the earth.

Here is the commandment and is one of the few scripture we have that God both wrote and spoke in the entire Bible. He never said keep Holy a day of the week, the seventh day is the Holy day, His Sabbath. Worshipping God on the day He designated from the beginning Genesis 2:3 is allowing God to be God.

Exodus 20: 8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In ityou shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who iswithin your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lordblessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

Are you saying Saturdays are Holy or not? They are not, but the 7th Day of Creation, the first 1000 years was the time set apart as Holy. Verse 11 is the proof. God does not want His people in the OT economy to work every day of the week. He gave them one day off. Some humans would work every day non stop till they burned themselves out.

The command was to Remember the 7th Day of Creation. The command was to work 6 days a week. Not 1 day, 2 days, etc. The punishment handed to Adam was that he would have to now work and sweat, because the earth would no longer do the work for him.

It is also poignant that humankind would not have to work more than 6000 years. Even the punishment and result of sin would not go past a definite time period. That was 5990 years ago.

But the next millennium is not the 7th. It is the 8th. Creation was 7020 years ago. God did not plant the Garden until the first 1000 years were over. He did rest the whole time.

What I say is not worth a penny, but God both wrote and spoke these words:
