Deu14:
28 At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes of that year’s produce and store it in your towns, 29 so that the Levites (who have no allotment or inheritance of their own) and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

Year 1 = 0%
Year 2 = 0%
Year 3 = 10%

Average 1 year = 1/30 = 3.33%

Some Churches ask us to give tithe every month is not biblical.
3% is not so burdensome.

It's a really good observation/point!

But in fairness, I should point out that Israel had many other kinds offerings, from first fruit's, grain offerings, drink offerings, to various animal offerings that could be expensive... (Expensive that even rich people often didn't eat meat every day, and slaughtering calves and larger cattle for consumption was done only for special occasions).

So the traditional Christianized concept of tithing on your paycheck may not be too bad.

Deu 16:
16 Three times a year all your men must appear before the Lord your God at the place he will choose: at the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Weeks and the Festival of Tabernacles. No one should appear before the Lord empty-handed: 17 Each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the Lord your God has blessed you.

NKJV:
17 Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the Lord your God which He has given you.

It does not say must be 10% of your wealth, but in you capacity with willingness.
Tithe is for the poor, and for God's people to celebrate and eat together, enjoy the blessings of God.
But many Churches are hoarding the money without using it for the needy people in their Churches.
Not doing charity.
Some pastors and church's council members use the money to fly for luxurious holidays.
And members are working like hell to earn money to pay tithes.
This is misappropriation.

Deu 26:

12 “When you have finished laying aside all the tithe of your increase in the third year—the year of tithing—and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, so that they may eat within your gates and be filled,
13 then you shall say before the Lord your God: ‘I have removed the holy tithe from my house, and also have given them to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, according to all Your commandments which You have commanded me; I have not transgressed Your commandments, nor have I forgotten them.

Obviously tithe is to be used for charity, not to enrich the administrative group of people in the church.

2 Corinth 9:
7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written:

“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;
their righteousness endures forever.”

God let you decide with a cheerful heart, not to Force you to give 10%.

If we count by average, it is yearly 3.33%, accumulated to 3rd year 10%.
Therefore, if we want to give tithes, it is monthly 3.33% which is not too high.
Let's say in Malaysia, I am earning 5000 per month,
there is deduction for tax and employee saving funds,
what I get is about 4200.
10% is 420, quite a lot of money.
3.33% is 140 which is affordable.

I don't think God wants to force us to give 10% so much.

Typically people spend 30% of their income on unnecessary spending.
When you begin to tithe 10% and you take your intentions seriously
then what happens is your eyes open up to the 30% you've been
spending needlessly. So by committing the first fruits - 10% to God
you begin not wasting the other 20%. Additionally, you can plan
to give another 5% for "Fun" or "Un-planned" giving to Charity.

This all brings joy to your life in addition to the extra 15% you could
be putting aside for retirement income. Not that you need retire
but you should have retirement income in case you wish to slow down some
of if health requires it.

So tithing can increase your savings by 15% and bring joy through charity giving.
I don't believe in Church buildings, so all my giving is joyful fun spontaneous charity.

I am not sure what are you talking about.
Church can do charity in an organized way to be more effective to help the needy than individual because Church collects money from members.
Members have given offerings to Church, do you expect them to fork out more money for charity while church keeping money in the closet?

I was a youth member of a stewardship and missions committee of a church. This church gave little to the poor. It was up to the church members to do that. If you get into financial trouble, how much will your church be able to do for you seeing as at that point you have nothing left to tithe?

There is a community food bank in my county. There is also a food bank in a nearby city that sends out pallet loads of food to local and further away distribution sites. Some of the elderly poor have to eat pet food as they have little money. The homeless looked in trash containers for bits of food.

The government collects taxes and distributes some to the poor. They also maintain infrastructure and the military. People paid Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid taxes before the pandemic. These were supposed to be for their retirement or in cases of poverty. Trump suspended these taxes.

The Torah/Pentateuch required a tithe of ten percent per year to the Levite Jews. This priestly position was inherited, not based on merit, or education. The chief priests may have collected more than other priests. According to the Talmud, they sent their agents to the threshing floors during the harvest to make sure the tithe was paid. The chief priests made up a court of 70 to judge matters of the law. They presided over the temple services in Jerusalem.

Tithe means 10th. The third year, as Carl mentioned, is dedicated to charity. The other two
are to a part of the feasts in Jerusalem. You could wait until tax time every year and give
your tithe, but it is still to be a tenth. Not just 3%

Deuteronomy 14:
22
You shall truly tithe all the increase of your grain that the field produces year by year.
23 And you shall eat before the Lord your God, in the place where He chooses to make His
name abide, the tithe of your grain and your new wine and your oil, of the firstborn
of your herds and your flocks, that you may learn to fear the Lord your God always.
24
But if the journey is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, or if
the place where the Lord your God chooses to put His name is too far from you, when the
Lord your God has blessed you,
25 then you shall exchange it for money, take the money in your hand, and go to the place
which the Lord your God chooses.
26 And you shall spend that money for whatever your heart desires: for oxen or sheep,
for wine or similar drink, for whatever your heart desires; you shall eat there before the Lord your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household.
27 You shall not forsake the Levite who is within your gates, for he has no part nor
inheritance with you.

The OP verses cited are out of context.
28 At the end of every third year you shall bring out the tithe of your produce of that year and
store up within your gates.
29 And the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are within your gates, may come and eat and be satisfied, that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

The every 3rd year tithe for charity is described here.
Malachi 3:
10
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse,
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this,”
Says the Lord of hosts,
If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough.
11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes,
So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground,
Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,
Says the Lord of hosts;
12 And all nations will call you blessed,
For you will be a delightful land,
Says the Lord of hosts.

Tithes were exclusively for ancient Israel, it was part of God's divinely ordained social welfare program.

No such command is given for the Church. Rather the Church has always taken collections, offerings, and donations for the purpose of redistributing these things both within the church community itself, and also for social welfare and outreach.

When we give to our church, it's not a tithe, it's an offering/donation. We are taking what we have, giving it to the church, which is then used to meet the needs of the church and its ministerial work. From paying salaries to clergy and church staff, paying the utility bills and property taxes, helping to run soup kitchens, food banks, providing clothes for the poor, and medical support for those in need.

Giving to our churches isn't a matter of "tithing" per se, but a matter of Christian charity--love, compassion, generosity. As we are called to love one another, and love all our neighbors as we would our selves.

22 “You must set aside a tithe of your crops—one-tenth of all the crops you harvest each year. 23 Bring this tithe to the designated place of worship—the place the Lord your God chooses for his name to be honored—and eat it there in his presence. This applies to your tithes of grain, new wine, olive oil, and the firstborn males of your flocks and herds. Doing this will teach you always to fear the Lord your God.

You cannot quote the Bible so rigid.
Does today's church collect tithes and ask us to come and eat together?

Fellowship in feast is meaningful, everyone can come and eat happily, and feel the abundance of God.
Some churches just kept the money and reward nothing to the members,
does the church think we owe them money?

My favorite congregation had service on the beach every fourth Sunday with a pot-luck meal. All members were encouraged to bring enough food for several people, and those who could not afford to bring food were encouraged to bring empty containers.

So find a worthy church or Christian organization to give to, there are thousands. Even when we give out of a good motive and that gift is misused, the intent of the giver is what matters to God. We know for example that the woman who put in the woman's mite and was commended by Jesus for it was giving to a cause run by a corrupt group of Pharisees who Jesus called a 'brood of vipers' among other choice words.

You can't out give God. It is the only area in Scripture where He tells us to test him, and that we will be given to in the proportion as we have given. I'm not a prosperity Gospel person, but I have found that true in my life. Giving is specifically called a spiritual gift in the NT.
