• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I feel like a failure. What else are you if you fail at your dreams??

You need to place your life in God's truth not in your own dreams i have tried explaining that to you before. With Christ we are always winners. Why do you let your dream separate you from the love of God? Base your happiness on Christ and His love and all shall be well with you in no time.

Romans 8:37-39
"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Feeling angry today. I wear a painted smile, but so full of it. Please pray for my deliverance.

Sorry to hear you are having a hard time. Placing your faith in God's love makes all the difference. i know it did in my life.

It is hard going through life pretending that everything is fine when it isn't.

Praying that Christ embraces you with His loving truth.

We are taught not to hate some aspects of the world & recognize our lives & the world as God's creation & gift to us. We are taught not to hate God's gifts to us. So my questions:

What if the fulfillment of our dreams would be considered a good thing?
What if the dream is snuffed out?

I struggle w/ that.

maybe there are other dreams to find that although they aren't the ones we wanted or hoped for, are just as fulfilling and bring just as much meaning. dreams that we would never have found if we had gotten the ones we first wanted.

Jesus has enormous amount of dedication towards our needs and wants but He doesn't want them to stand in the way of you having a relationship with God.

You letting your whole life go to waste because of your desire is not wise. Rather let go of the bad life you have accumulated doing that and serve the Lord with that part of your life instead. For then the Scriptures can be fulfilled when it says that God will look after our needs when we serve Him whole heartedly.

Psalms 37:4 "Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."

Repent of pursuing your own insights and desires and ask Him to give you a new perspective on life with and in Him. Jesus wants your heart and everything in it. Love Jesus, serve Him above all other desires. Trust in His goodness and build your life down here with His good life. A life build with faith, trust and hope in Him will never be disappointed Scripture teaches us.

So even if you loose everything you now have, you will gain true life and true joy in life, unlike you have now.

If the Lord has your dream waiting for you then you shall gain it, otherwise you will find new dreams in Him that far surpass what you are dreaming of now.

Please do consider letting go of your bad life, understand that it is no good as it is now. Giving Jesus all your bad life, everything that makes you depressed, and let Him deal with it instead of you, will bring you a much fuller and fulfilling life than you have now.

Peace

Having our dreams snuffed out, is a bitter pill to swallow. I don’t know what the answer is tbh :)

The apostle Paul talks about the root of bitterness, and somebody once said, ‘the root doesn’t just stay there, it sprouts branches’ bitterness has to go. For our own sakes if nothing else. deliverance or healing is needed from it, That’s just my opinion though.
Have you seen the tv series ‘the chosen’? It’s a bit drawn out, but The first episode shows (to me) a tormented soul being delivered. Numbers 6:24-26

I have very horrible feelings, as if God have forsaken me and I have lost the salvation.

I suffer from those feelings often, but in the end it just drives me to the cross. Sometimes it's needed, to wean us out of self-reliance and pride. Sometimes it's just a nagging feeling that has nothing to offer, it only exists to bring us down, to let terror rule, and to make us want to give up and die. The former can be from God - the focus is on Him, there is hope on that road, there is correction, there is a promise, there is always something better in Him. The latter isn't from God - focus is on us, our failures, never on God, and since we can't find what we need in ourselves, we'll just go deeper into the insanity.

Christ is about life, about forgiveness, about conquering death, the world and self. Christ is about what God does for us. Christ is not about what we can be for Him, He's about what He and God is for us. If we are to be something for Him, even that would be His doing, from His spirit and strength, not ours.

It's a gift, it's grace. It's God's agape, self-giving and self-sacrificing love through His Son. It was always about what He is and what He does. What I do is nothing, and I have no merits. Even on my best day I am a sinner. On my best day I wouldn't feel like I am a sinner, I would no doubt feel really good about myself, but I'd be a sinner just the same. My pathetic daily sins are just dust, and my twisted feelings aren't the feelings of God Himself. I shouldn't put my sins or fear on a pedestal. My sins or fear do not control God, and they won't topple down the cross. They have no power over it. Jesus Christ came for sinners, His cross remains as a living symbol of hope for sinners. I certainly qualify as a sinner, we all do. No matter what our hearts throw at us.

If anyone or anything wants to take you away from God's hand, they would have to go through Jesus Christ. They can't. Tell that to the "enemy", when you feel these accusations hurting you. Tell the accuser to get begotten by God, to empty itself for a world that hates it, to die, to conquer death and hell, to rise up to heaven in immortality and power and be seated on God's right side as a mighty savior of mankind. Tell the accuser to do that, and perhaps then you could listen to whatever nagging, useless crap he's throwing at you. Meanwhile, you don't have to believe any ill suggestions that come your way.

Said a prayer for all of you struggling ones. We can be weak, it's alright. Hang on boys and girls. Here we will have tribulation, but Jesus has conquered the world. We feel the world, with all its death, with its sin, and also the sin and confusion within ourselves hurting us, but Christ has conquered the world. Death, too. So let us hope for what we cannot see, no matter how weak we'd get. Thank you for encouraging each other, God bless you and keep you.

we are a vine but must hang on the cross. it's a joy to bear fruit. it's a joy to see the plants grow. everyone wins. but growth is a reality of process. we get trimmed down so the fruit will grow bigger. just have to not lay on the ground least we become unhealthy.

The vine is Christ, we are the branches in our daily reality. Bearing fruit is unto eternal life, laying paralysed on the ground can only ever be in rule for awhile, it can't survive on its own. We need to die there in, and release the nutrients that make us up back into the ground. For us it is to remain in Christ - that is in the truth of God's love. When we are in Christ then we bear good fruit, not otherwise.

When i meet thorn bushes on my way i ask the Gardener to cut such down and burn it with the fire of His loving truth, so that the ashes serve as fertiliser for the fruit bearing crops growing in the dirt of my heart, right in such 'muddy' places of my soul. i love how Jesus finds a purpose for sin in my life, that i would repent of wrong, and let His grace sow me a good crop there instead of thistles.

Sanctification is an awesome process. Where we grow happier and happier in our faith, truly loving Christ bringing us our bounty - time and again. What about the pruning times? Well as long as we produce better it is worth the losses.

i believe we are harvested and sown with new seeds every day. i rejoice in that every time i think about that. Every moment i have in The Lord is eternal such fills my heart with joy.

Have a blessed day.

Pondering Sweetly.

i'm pondering sweetly, reflecting God's graceful love,
Awakened by the voice of Father's loving grace,
Christ's caring truth seeking, deeper communion pleading,
Consoling love lifting my spirit before God's face.

i'm pondering sweetly, reflecting God's loving truth,
Jesus' love redeems my spirit from earthbound plights.
Where upon the peaks of the highest mountain summit,
The finger of God, in my heart His commandment writes.

i'm pondering sweetly, reflecting God's caring way,
Watching His holy seed of loving truth germinate.
Fields of Heavenly harvest ripening in the sun,
Cherubic thoughts, angels in the sky to celebrate.

i'm pondering sweetly, reflecting God's awesome might,
Seeing - I AM – our Father - in Heavenly Glory.
As i can not locate any place He does not rule.
Most astonishingly - i'm also written in His Story.

Feeling down again. i had a really good day yesterday but today it is miss again. The grand kids are coming up today but i don't feel like it at the moment. i hope i pick up a little before they come.

We are a troop all over the world, fighting in spiritual field. The Lord is our commander.Blessed be His Name.

We are fighting the wicked in control of humanity at large. We fighting the unseen but not without power. We can curse the wicked in control of peoples hearts so that those people might find freedom in Christ as well.

When we fight we pray. We ask the Creator of Heaven and Earth to come to our aid.

Blessed be His Name forever more.
