Or, alternative title: Adult children of lesbian parents less likely to feel pressured to identify as straight when they're actually homosexual.

I have family members and friends who are lesbian couples. None of their children are homosexual nor do they identify as such. I have lots of friends and family members who are straight who have homosexual children. The sexual orientation of the parents obviously plays very little into how the children identify. I imagine EVERYONE has similar experience.

I think studies are much more an accurate measure than just stating you know people.

can you name this study?
"The study employs the National Longitudinal Lesbian Family Study (NLLFS)" authored by Nanette Gartrell but that isn't the study the article is talking about.

Give it any name you like, or are you stating the study does not exist?

Christians are in no position to point fingers given the rampant addiction to inappropriate contentography in the pulpit and congregation. Not to mention the plethora of sex scandals we’ve endured.

Well the article you linked to talks about some unnamed study "The study employs the National Longitudinal Lesbian Family Study (NLLFS)" authored by Nanette Gartrell

So what does the Longitudinal Lesbian Family Study (NLLFS) have to say on the topic? It says that as adults the children raises by lesbian parents are no more and no less likely to identify as homosexual

Show me what the study has to say on the topic.

We've arrived at the point in our society where the needs or rights of the people seeking to adopt are given precedence over what's best for the children.

It's not terribly surprising, considering that we also cannot have women's sports be for women; and free speech is punished if what is said makes anyone else "uncomfortable."

Not if you’re cherry picking. If you can’t address homosexuality across the board and limit your focus to gays with children while ignoring the same from Christian homes that’s hypocritical.

If you don’t blame Christians for wayward children don’t do the same to others.

Gay people exist. They are perfectly willing to raise kids just as "straight" couples do.

This should not be controversial to anyone.

whats best for children would be adoption agencies that screen potential parents based on the merits of those parents and not reject out of hand reject potential parents based on whether or not they happen to be members of a minority

But the thread is not about across the board. My comments seem to me to be right in line with the subject.

Okay. That doesn't have anything to do with my post, but you can make that point if you wish.

One of the best parenting couples I know are two lesbian women. I I could pick one couple as the best example, I would pick them.

There is a critical shortage of foster parents. Adding to the qualified pool of adoptive parents can only be a good thing. Sorry if that statement tweaks some evangelical noses.

It wasn't that long ago that it was scandalous for a couple to want to adopt outside their own ethnicity.

Certainly.

Not relevant to the issue here. We aren't talking about the fact that people want to adopt. The issue concerns the policies of the agency.
