The most fun of all is seeking God through his Word and asking him to be our guide and teacher so that we can know his truth *John 8:31-36 as we ask him for his Spirit to guide and teach us His Words *John 14:26; John 16:13; 1 John 2:27; Hebrews 8:10-11.

Something to pray about here because we are all accountable to God come judgment day where we will all be judged by the Word of God we accept or reject (John 12:47-48).
Actually, the verse you quoted literally says that Jesus will not judge those of us who accept his words as truth. Only those who reject him will be judged.

Actually, the verse you quoted literally says that Jesus will not judge those of us who accept his words as truth. Only those who reject him will be judged.

John 12:47-48
47 If anyone hears My teachings and does not keep them, I do not judge him;

Jesus claims His Word judges and that He will not judge the one who rejects His teachings - His Word does that.

But determining who it is that is rejecting and who is accepting the Word - that is the work of God who is the judge of all mankind.

John 5
21 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so the Son also gives life to whom He wishes. 22 For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, 23 so that all will honor the Son just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

This is what happens when you follow a woman that said her dreams were prophesy. Probably why Paul said women shouldn't be in leadership, and most of the SDA distorted beliefs come from Mrs. White. Her Saturday Sabbath, dietary beliefs that have been debunked, and that don't know the difference between grape juice and wine. The only way the SDA can support their beliefs is by distorting scripture or taking it out of context.
I was raised SDA, went to their schools, and finally started thinking for myself, and not regurgitating some of their non sense.
Funny how cults have their favorite prophets, SDA had Mrs. White, Mormons Joseph Smith.

I've become fond of Westley, his best comment was "love God with all your heart, your neighbor as yourself, and all the rest is just commentary."

I was raised SDA too and all the scriptures I learned about the Sabbath, dietary laws, etc came from the Bible. Ellen White did not create Gods Holy day, Sabbath, God did. You can read about it from creation Genesis 2:3 and Exodus 20 8-11. God spoke and wrote these Words and added REMEMBER which means we should not forget. If you don’t want to believe Ellen was God’s messenger, remove her from the equation, it doesn’t change anything from what God wrote or spoke.

So you want to disregard 99.9% of the Bible? We have free will, but when Jesus comes it might be a question He will ask.

So when Jesus was asked "what are the greatest commandments"? What was His answer?
Sunday worship has been established since 300 AD, no one had a problem with it until Mrs. White started having her dreams, dumped her kids to run around the country preaching about her dreams.

Most people today think of Sunday as the the seventh day of the week because most work Monday through Friday and then have Saturday and Sunday off.

I was almost expelled from Loma Linda because I started asking hard questions. The one thing Loma Linda had at the time was one of the best nutritional educations in the country, however they distorted it as well.

I have many SDA friends that I love dearly, we just disagree on way too many things to discuss theology, and most know little or nothing about Christian history and various beliefs that came about prior to the establishment of the Catholic church.

You want to worship on Saturday, fine, just don't make it a requirement, because it isn't. Personally I think we should begin each and every day worshiping our heavenly Father.

Here is another, one of my cousins was a strict adventist, followed their teaching to the letter. Never drank alcohol, never smoked, wouldn't touch any meat, strict vegetarian.
She died at 37 years old of cancer leaving three children behind. Her diet had nothing to do with her cancer, her immune system did though and that is a whole different topic.

I know the SDA love to stay in the Old Testament quote the Mosaic laws, and that is fine. We have a new covenant, it's called the New Testament.
What do you do with these two passages.
I don't like posting scripture that most of you should already know or at least be aware of, but I will take exception on this subject.

Colossians 2:16 (NIV) Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day.

Mark 2:27-28 (NIV) Then he said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. 28 So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath."

Jesus gave example after example that the Jewish rules for the Sabbath were misunderstood and distorted by the Pharisees.

Brother, God is correcting the truth of the Sabbath now with the units of the 2300-year prophecy that takes us back to the first day in Genesis. The reason the Sunday tradition persists is because no one has the true biblical Sabbath and God wants to correct the Jewish Sabbath tradition. The Sabbath taught in Israel is kept in the Eden time zone. Everyone who is not in Israel is wrong about when to start the Sabbath. Established are the days of the week in Genesis from morning to morning. God kept the first Sabbath from morning to morning and not from evening to evening. You keep it in Israel from evening to evening, 10 hours before the seventh-day of the week, because the Sabbath is remembered in the Eden time zone.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was MORNING—the first day. (Genesis 1:3-5 NIV)

The problem, of course, is that nobody has a clue as to where Eden, geographically, existed. Rivers are mentioned, of course, but using them to determine precise geography leads to a rather barren patch of Middle Eastern geography.

For the sake of argument, however, if one wishes to be the consummate nitpicker and insist that the Sabbath is determined by the precise moment when the sun rises and sets on this particular property (including seasonal variations) then it does make life quite intriguing for individuals the further they are from this property.

This reminds me of the quintessential Islamic dilemma regarding timing of their daily prayers, Ramadan, and other requisite religious activities. In theory, all times are established at Mecca only. This fixation on time resulted in amazing advances on their part in astronomy and mathematics. However, when they realized how absurd it was logistically for someone in California to recite his midday prayers at midnight, they backed off and decided that time was according to the time zones established by the various nations.

And you don't know what day that was, could have been what we now call Thursday. The Mosaic law didn't come into effect until long after creation.

Brother, thanks to the website "islamicfinder.org" which provides sunrise times for all areas of the world, I have found an island nearby. Rekareka with a sunrise just one minute before sunset in Israel. This places Eden's Longitude @ 145.092069º W as the site of our origin where God taught us to count the days with the week.

Brother, Jesus verifies that the Jewish Sabbath is correct in Israel when He Himself kept it.

Thanks! How does that affect the international date line?

Brother, Longitude @ 145.092069º W is the true International Date Line established by God in creation week. It unites the divided Seventh-day Adventist church in Samoa worshiping on Sunday instead of Saturday after the government switched sides near the International Date Line. Samoa removed a date from the calendar to favor trade with other nations. Those Seventh-day Adventists who kept their tradition of the old Saturday worship Sunday, while those who embraced the change worship the new Saturday.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was MORNING—the first day. (Genesis 1:3-5 NIV)

That is really handy. So, some places on the earth can worship on Sunday (that is, the first day of the week according to international reckoning) without violating your Sabbath?

Brother, it goes from a full Saturday at Eden to a full Friday on the other side of the International Date Line, never a Sunday. The old tradition in Samoa was wrong about the correct day of the week and now Samoa has aligned itself with the true International Date Line. Those who accepted the change are right and the old tradition is wrong about the correct day of the week in Samoa. However, both parties are wrong on how to keep the biblical Sabbath, neither party keeps the Sabbath in the Eden time zone as done in Israel.

Actually, that is not such a bad situation, especially for Muslims who observe their primary day of worship on Friday. It is somewhat of a bummer for Christians, however. So, if a good Muslim does his religious duties on the Sabbath, according your view, is he better off than a Christian?

Brother, unless you are close to the International Date Line, the Sabbath does not fall on a day of the week as in Eden and as in Israel it falls between two days of the week: between the sixth and the seventh day of the week. The only places that keep the Sabbath correctly by direct instructions from God are those in Israel's time zone without understanding why they keep it the way they do.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was MORNING—the first day. (Genesis 1:3-5 NIV)
