If Jesus had wanted female pastors, he would of made some of the apostles women.

....and He would have added these stupid commandments to scripture:

Matthew 22:39
And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Mark 12:31
The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Romans 13:9-10
For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, (No sassy women priests) are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Leviticus 19:18
You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.

Galatians 5:14
For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Except sassy women priests)

I don't study the Hebrew, Arabic, Latin, Greek, language that's scripture was written in during points of time. So you can write any of those languages down I would have no idea what they actually mean.
My opinion of 1st Corinthians 14:28 what is the point of speaking if you don't have an interpreter to interpret your language. You speak Greek, I speak Roman, I don't understand Greek - so what's the point?
1st Corinthians 14:30 something is revealed to a person, don't interrupt the meetings by blurting it out, keep your mouth closed until the appropriate time.
1st Corinthians 14:34 goes back to my initial comment. In a few words don't interrupt in meetings. Commanded to be under obedience to who? God and God only? To blindly obey a husband might lead you to hell.
1st Corinthians 14:23 when the word speak is used - it's not referring to them all speaking at one time it's referring to them speaking in different languages and if an unlearned came in and heard this, they would think that they're crazy because nobody can understand each other. The gift of the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues, is the universal language, the *first language,* the language of the angels, that all men regardless of what language they speak - will understand.

Sound exegesis - meaning simple explanation or critical analysis. No I do not feel the same reasoning I gave can be apply to general speaking of one as written in verse 23 and simular versus - and the not speaking in the versus you gave.
I guess then that the point of 1 Corinthians 14:28 is that someone speaking one language should not address an assembly that doesn't know the language unless there's one to interpret. Would you agree the point of 1 Corinthians 14:29-30 is that two or three prophets should speak, but if something is revealed to someone else, the first speaker should not address the assembly but let this new speaker do so instead?

In the sense that there is supposed to be orderliness in worship, without any room for showmanship. And, of course, with the historic Liturgy this isn't really a problem. As there are times when the people speak, and times when they keep silent.

When the pastor is giving the homily, or speaking the Words of Institution, or any other of their pastoral ministerial obligations, we keep silence to hear the word of God and give reverence to the gifts of God.

-CryptoLutheran
Does "speak" and "keep silent" in 1 Corinthians 15:27-30 mean "address the assembly" and "not address the assembly," respectively?

These were not "Early churches" or "Young churches". All the letters were to INFANT church groups and not one had the completed Bible.

Grown-up
churches treat people by the second of two rules:

Matthew 22:39
And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Mark 12:31
The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
There is no other commandment greater than these.”

So discriminating by gender choice is not an option.
Wait, are you saying that 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 and 1 Timothy 2:11-12 are sexist?

I'm sorry, but none of those bears upon the issue here (women pastors).

God is not obligated to make any of us ministers or apostles or anything else just to be "fair" in the sense that the world thinks of fairness or equality or even love. In addition, he explicitly said to us, in his word, that he chooses different people for different roles in life.

I prefer the term "Illegal discrimination" but sexist is 100% correct.

We are obligated to submit to local laws as this is God's will for man.
You might recall that Jesus did this to the letter, declaring it was the Father's will.
If not following the laws of man, Jesus....might.... still be alive...who knows?

They get paid. There can be no gender discrimination in employment.
The Constitutionally-guaranteed Freedom of Religion protects churches from being required to violate their religious doctrines in that way.

You apparently aren't aware of that.

We all know that's not a healthy exception, but we do allow for the religious ignorant as long as they don't stray too far from public health requirements and societal decency law.

Anti-vaccine, no blood transfusions, animal sacrifice, snake handling in church, nude services, anti-healthcare, and such.

But the government does step in if they go too far. Every time. Even if churches don't know better, as long as the harm is not too great we let them get away with otherwise illegal hiring practices.

Then it's settled, with or without the insults.

The ordination of women is a doctrinal matter and not a matter of obedience to the higher (secular) authorities. And that's because of the higher authority's own laws.

Ha! It's only God's authority that allows the exceptions. Yes, secular law prevails as it is created by the Father and church law is not. You know, that whole Jesus crucifixion incident.

But back to the church reality of sexist discrimination and churches defying scripture:

Titus 3
Be Ready for Every Good Work
3 Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, 2 to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people.
(except females)

It's funny that you claim secular law as your foundation.
But it's the Fathers law anyway.

So then, you've reconsidered your idea that the churches have some overriding obligation to do whatever the government might want. That's good. But remember that in this case, the church is NOT defying the government because it's the government's laws that protect freedom of religion.

If God wanted a woman to lead the Church, He would of sent a woman. But, He sent a man, who in turn, picked men to be his disciples. Women can teach other women outside of church (Titus 2:4-5) They are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

Morally, they do not. Local law supersedes scripture. When local laws are ignored in scripture, death results, usually the most violent deaths of innocent people imaginable.

If God wanted a woman to lead the Church, He would have sent a woman.
Possibly a couple, would be a worthy argument. But women are hard-wired to protect their children at any cost, so preaching the gospel to children and others, knowing they would die as a result of the teachings, would be a burden for a female Christ.
