What sort of temperature does a "good" winter day there see?

It'll be 31 Celsius here today (88 Fahrenheit).
You all are entering into the Autumn season aren’t you?

It's about 46 degrees F. And mainly it's not rainy and there's not a chilly wind blowing.

That's too bad.. how much is a TV license there?

OK, first the cleverdicks call it now,
"Public service fee."

It was introduced 2019

It is now 1 US dollar = 8,44 kr.

If year income is lower than 132,990 kr it is 1% of income.

If it is higher it is 1,329 kr.

That is not for household but for each income taker.

It is just a snidy way to rake in more tax.

But that is what you get when there is "Social" in the parties name that happen to be in power.

I may just be under 132,990 kr mark because I have a Norwegian pension too,

should have stayed in Norway, but done is done.

Stop press!

The sum is not 132,000 kr but 132,990 Kr.

(Have now corrected it in previous posts.)

Looks like next week is shaping up to also be a warm week. Glad about that. Also nice to see the sun rise earlier than normal. When I was younger I hated that.. but the older I get the more I like the extended light hours.

Good news for solar panel owners.

Sleeping in has become tougher. I am glad the days are getting longer though. We are into March after tomorrow.

Yes. Although late summer/early autumn here is often still quite warm (temperatures above 30 Celsius - sorry, I don't think in Fahrenheit!)

It's about 46 degrees F. And mainly it's not rainy and there's not a chilly wind blowing.

So, not quite freezing, but still really cold. (Where I live it doesn't snow at all, so anything at about that temperature is what we'd get in the depths of our winter).

Yes, March tomorrow and I am starting to freak out about how close Easter is, and how much I have to do (and how much things are up in the air because of Covid...)

There's a usually about one week of snow here. Mostly it's rainy and windy. Clear skies produce a lot of frost. Today it was cold, but also sort of balmy because it was overcast with no chilly wind. I started getting too warm in my winter garb whilst hiking through the muddy woods.

It should be a walkover,

You just say to the congregants,

"Listen up, this years passover we are going to do it authentic.

No one leave their house until the angel of death has passed over."

:)

I laughed.

We were in lockdown last year; this year it looks like services will be able to go ahead, but (for example) the rules around singing keep changing (last week we couldn't sing indoors, this week we can if we wear masks; who knows what it will be by Easter?) and so that makes planning harder.

I know!

Beach Easter.

You Ozzies love the beach,

or so I heard.

Aussies do love the beach!

Sadly I'm now in an inland town, about... four or five hours' drive from a beach? (I was talking on the phone to my mum, who was born in Mauritius, and I told her she would like it here, it's very pretty. And she told me that she wouldn't, she is an islander and it's too far from the sea!)

So, here's a picture of a little country church basking in today's late summer afternoon:

WP_20210228_001.jpg

This little place is an outlying centre of my parish - in a tiny country town too small to even get a mail delivery - and they get the Sunday 5pm service. This is what it looked like about 15 minutes before that today, which might give you a taste of the landscape around here. :)
