The introduction of the term House of God is found in the narrative of Jacob’s travels.
He established the place name Bethel, meaning House of God, later a city in Israel.

Genesis 28:19 And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city
was called Luz at the first.

For this topic of discussion, the focus is with Exodus and beyond.
Moses built a tabernacle in the wilderness where the Ark was kept within the Sanctuary.
This arrangement is not referred to as the house or tabernacle of God, but the tabernacle
of the congregation.

Leviticus 1:1 And the LORD called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle
of the congregation.

Later, the tabernacle would be set up somewhat permanently at Shiloh.
Joshua 18:1 Now the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together
at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of meeting there.
And the land was subdued before them.

During the period of the judges, this came to be referred to as the house of God
Judges 18:31 So they set up for themselves Micah’s carved image which he made,
all the time that the house of God was in Shiloh.

Is it enough to note a permanent location for the tabernacle to make reference to the
House of God? Here is the Way of the Lord, spoken by the prophet.

Jeremiah 7:12 But go now to My place which was in Shiloh, where I set My name
at the first
, and see what I did to it because of the wickedness of My people Israel.

The House of God is the place where the Lord sets His Name.
His Will is not to place His Name on a building made with hands, but on a people who
are called by His Name. 2 Chronicles 7:14

1 Peter 2:5 You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy
priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

A Holy Priesthood brings a blessing to the people
Numbers 6:
22
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
23 Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, This is the way you shall bless
the children of Israel. Say to them:
24 The Lord bless you and keep you;
25 The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
26 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
27 So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.

How should this apply today?
Hebrews 3 is an excellent description of perseverance in devotion...
15 While it is said, Today if ye will hear His Voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

This verse, cited in the OP, is a well known call for corporate prayer...
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Exhorting and encouraging one another...
Ephesians 4:
1
I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which
you were called,
2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,
3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

The Gospel and the Christian life is about bringing glory to the name of Jesus Christ!!!
We do this together, as His Body, Temple, Church....

Ephesians 2:

4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have
been saved),
6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

You can take over from here, Carl. Feels like I am doing all the work. :)
