While the blood of sprinkling pertains to the remission of sin. It is also a token sign
of covenant sanctification, and for removing uncleanness.

Exodus 24:8 And Moses took the blood, sprinkled it on the people, and said,
This is the blood of the covenant which the Lord has made with you according
to all these words.

Also part of the Passover, which ties in to Abel.

Hebrews 11:28 By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, lest he
who destroyed the firstborn should touch them.

Exodus 12:
13
Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when
I see the blood,
I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike
the land of Egypt.
14 So this day shall be to you a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast to the Lord throughout your generations. You shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting ordinance.

Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through
it he being dead still speaks.

Abel's sacrifice was more excellent because he offered the firstborn of his flocks and
his herds, which would normally be the "birthright" for breeding.
What did the Passover protect? What does this foreshadow?

Hebrews 12:24 Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood
of sprinkling that speaks better things than Abel.

1 Peter 1:2 elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification
of the Spirit [cleansing], for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ[covenant]
Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

Hebrews 9:
12
Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most
Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the
unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh,
14
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered
Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve
the living God?

This is a widely neglected Truth about the blood of Yeshua. It was shed both for
forgiveness, and cleansing; and is the blood of the covenant (sprinkling).

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse
us from all unrighteousness.

Matthew 26:28.
For this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many
for the remission of sin.
I see Christ’s blood needed for cleansing and remission of sins, but not sure about forgiveness. What is your definition of “remission”?

The Bible does not say Abel’s sacrifice was more pleasing to God because it was an animal, there were pleasing grain offerings to God. The problem with Cain’s offering had to do with Cain’s heart and not what was being offered.

Christ’s blood has the huge value of cleaning us inside, our hearts. The Jews were not to drink animal blood, but we symbolically drink Christ’s blood and can actually feel the blood going down our throats and over our hearts cleansing us.

Galatians 2:20
This is a wonderful idea to remember.
20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me: and that [life] which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, [the faith] which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
Being crucified with Christ does not sound like fun.

What is crucifying to the flesh, is liberating to the spirit. We are subdued by Christ.
Philippians 3:
20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the
Lord Jesus Christ,
21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body,
according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

Is crucifying the flesh=being crucified with Christ? Can I empathetically be crucified with Christ?

Can I empathetically be crucified with Christ?
Not empathy. The willingness to suffer for His Name by the Will of God.
1 Peter 4:
1
Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind,
for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,
2
that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the
will of God.

12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though
some strange thing happened to you;
13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory
is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and
of God rests upon you
. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters.
16 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God
in this matter.
17
For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first,
what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?
18 Now If the righteous one is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?
19 Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls
to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.

Every time I take communion I am reminded of Christ going and staying on the cross, because of what I personally did and caused Him to do. The only thing that keeps my knees from buckling and falling on my face is the Greatest Love being shown for me while Christ was on that cross. Christ and God personally did not want Christ to go through this tragedy, but I personally needed this fair/just Loving disciplining for all the benefit disciplining provides.

1 Corinthians 11:26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.
27 Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner
will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself,
not discerning the Lord’s body.
30 For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep.
31 For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.
32 But when we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be condemned
with the world.
