Does the Holy spirit pray for us?

Jesus is our intercessor, pray to Him or the Father in His name..

The HS is our witness, teacher, comforter. And can bring us under conviction in sin..

Exactly this. Not sure it can be summed up more eloquently.

"Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." Rom 8:26 KJV

"So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance." The Holy Spirit intercedes for us according to God's will. We don't need to ask the Holy Spirit to talk to God.

Romans 8:26-28 "In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.…"

When we know what to pray, we can pray to God in the name of Jesus and be assured of an answer. If it is according to God's will, we will get what we ask.

The Holy Spirit is God. God does not pray to himself.

Scripture promises us that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us when we ourselves don't even know what to pray--"in groanings to deep for words".

Since the Holy Spirit is God, we can pray to Him, just like we pray to the Father and the Son. Indeed, because of the Divine Unity of the Trinity, there is no such thing as praying to one Person to the exclusion of the others. When we pray to the Father, we are also praying to Christ and the Spirit, because the Father is never apart from His Son and Spirit.

And there are a number of traditional Christian prayers and hymns addressed to the Divine Person of the Holy Spirit.

The Trisagion (Three Holy) prayers in the Orthodox church, starts with this:

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Glory to you, our God, glory to you.

Heavenly King, Comforter, the Spirit of truth,
who are present everywhere filling all things,
Treasury of good things and Giver of life, come and dwell in us.
Cleanse us of every stain, and save our souls, gracious Lord.

Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us (3).
