The righteous requirements of the Law are to be fulfilled in the life of a saint.
Since Paul used the word 33 times in his epistle to
the Romans, this demand
of scripture is thoroughly developed for us.
I always look carefully to David for in depth comprehension.
The Psalms speak of righteousness 70X (mostly David).
If you pray the Psalms out loud (as you should) you will have
prayed for righteousness.
You will have praised the Lord in righteousness.
This is central to your testimony!

Psalms 5:8 Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies;
Make Your way straight before my face.

Psalm 17:7. I will praise the Lord according to His righteousness,
And will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.
Psalm 71:
15
My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness
And Your salvation
all the day,
For I do not know their limits.
16 I will go in the strength of the Lord God;
I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only.

Then there is the endless obsessing of so many over works!
Acts 10:35 But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness
is accepted by Him.
1 John 2:29 If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who
practices righteousness is born of Him.
1 John 3:10
In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest:
Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does
not love his brother.

Third source: 50 times in Isaiah. This is how we know.

Isaiah 32:17. The work of righteousness will be peace,
And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.

33X Romans, 70X in Psalms, 50X Isaiah.
How can we not know what He expects of us?

Micah 6:8. He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?

Jeremiah 23:6 Jesus is the Lord, our righteousness. We are not righteous, but when we live by faith, this is considered righteous because we rely on Him, not ourselves.
John 3:21. But he who does the Truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen,
that they have been done in God.

Psalm 15:
1
Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle?
Who may dwell in Your holy hill?
2 He who walks uprightly,
And works righteousness,
And speaks the truth in his heart.

May your character always be a reflection of what He has put in you.

Transparency is another parallel. It relates to confession, surrender, and boasting of your weaknesses so Christ's power may rest on you.

Whenever we do what is righteous, we are testifying about God's righteousness, and the purpose of extolling God's righteousness and other aspects of His nature in song is to lead us to live in a way that testifies about God's righteousness and other aspects of God's nature through our obedience to the Mosaic Law.

The idea I take away from this is that what a person chooses to do determines what he is. One who chooses to do righteousness will be made righteous and one who chooses to do unrighteousness will be made unrighteous. (Romans 5:19)

Any idea that one is somehow righteous BEFORE he does any righteosness cannot be possible. The same with the idea that one is unrighteous (sinner) BEFORE he even does any sinning-unrighteousness is equally impossible.

Romans 10:10. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation.

confession/profession-[G3670] homologeo
to say the same thing as another, i.e. to agree with, assent, concede, declare openly.

G3670 - homologeō - Strong's Greek Lexicon (KJV)

This is what Yeshua professed.
John 12:
48
He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—
the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

49 For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a
command, what I should say and what I should speak.

50 And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just
as the Father has told Me, so I speak.

To profess what Christ professed. That is the profession of faith of all saints.
John 5:19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can
do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also
does in like manner.

Against this obedience, there can be no law.
This is the correct comprehension of the Devarim of Moses, as explained by Paul,
the apostle to the Nations.

Romans 10:
5
For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, The man who does those things
shall live by them.
6 But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, Do not say in your heart, Who will ascend
into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above)
7 or, Who will descend into the abyss? (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).
8 But what does it say? The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that is,
the word of faith which we preach:
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God
has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

The Resurrected Messiah speaks to me daily.
I obey Him daily. I am corrected by Him daily.
This is the "obedience of Christ."
2 Corinthians 10:5.

Galatians 2:21. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes
through the law, then Christ died in vain.

Righteousness is obedience to Voice of The Spirit, who is The Lord.
