The word Jew(s) is found 186 times in the KJV NT. It is a translation of the Greek Ioudaios, or Judean, Strong's G2453. The Greek Ioudaios is found in one additional verse translated "men of Judea".
"But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:" (Acts 2:14 KJV)
If the word in the Greek is actually Judean rather than Jew, and the Judean was able to practice their Old Covenant religion up until the destruction of the Temple in 70AD; how can any person be properly identified as being a Jew/Judean in this day? The Judaism of today is NOT the Old Covenant religion recorded in the Bible so how can it be connected to any Bible prophecy? Is being a Jew in this day nothing but a matter of culture that is very loosely if at all connected to the Bible? It is a question seldom posed in fundamentalist and evangelical circles.
