I tend to agree...
If he can retain enough control over the GOP to where he has a good shot of becoming it’s nominee in ‘24...sure, what the heck, give him another shot at it, make it maybe 2-5 in Presidential Campaigns instead of the current 1-4? (Zero in four if we go by popular vote!)

I'm a lifelong Republican, but I'll vote Democratic again in '24 if Trump is the Republican presidential nominee or if one of his yes-man followers is the Republican nominee. I refuse to support Trump and Trumpism is an anathema to me. I'd like to see it eventually banished from the Republican Party.

If you would vote for the dude who led nothing impactful during, arguably the biggest crisis of the last couple decades in America, indicates you aren't REALLY voting for someone who is going to help AMERICA.

I'm not right wing but I respect this.

The cheeky part of me hopes he runs and splits that side of the aisle (which, if he does go third party, he DEFINITELY will).

I recall reading he may make a run for some other kind of political office though? House leader or Senate leader or something? Geez; could you imagine someone so bereft of knowledge and capability doing that job?

Well, if you don't want him for president, don't vote for him. *shrug* There's no reason he can't run again. That's the beauty of elections. People can vote against him.
No disrespect Bumble Bee but I gotta say I HATE the logic of "People can vote against him". That attitude props up a paultry and weak two party system.

What happenned to candidates whose ideas inspire people to vote for them?

I read some Twitter post that said that Trump Campaign Org has disavowed some of the Patriot Party stuff that has been using his name and likeness.
Maybe it’s just an assertion-of-copyrights, but it looks like a political repudiation as well.

From "You can't get rid of him that easily", files: Grenell: Trump Wants to Run for President Again

“Donald Trump is the head of the Republican Party still, let’s make no mistake about that."
...
“He’s told me personally, multiple times, that he does want to run again. So we’ll see if that holds and how that comes about; I think we’ve got a long ways to go,” Grenell added.
...
Jason Miller, another former Trump adviser, said earlier this month that the president would be involved in the 2022 midterms.

“President Trump is going to make sure we get the House back in 2022,” Miller said on “War Room.”

He’s got a ton of money. He’s the biggest name. He’s going to get that done.
Trump or one of his children will run and win. When you elect one Trump you get the whole family and it will likely take all of them to fix the mess they will walk into.

I can at least agree that Trump is synonymous with nepotism.

There are rumors of him staring his own party.
That would be the best outcome. The GOP split in twain. Imagine that: conservatives would never be in power again!

Imagine that, you're wrong. One side will emerge as the winner and absorb the other. It will weaken the party for 1, maybe 2 election cycles.

Yeah, I mean, we need to bring them back to handle this whole pandemic thing that the previous administration totally screwed up. What was that guy's name again? I remember hearing that he was big on Twitter but can't seem to find anything written by him on there now.

Trump is kind of caught in between two competing pursuits. Starting his own party to spite the Republicans who crossed him or run primary challengers against the Republicans who crossed him. It would be really hard to do both (though possible). If he wants revenge he does the former. If it’s power he does the latter.

So vote for those candidates whose ideas inspire you. I am not saying people should vote for one candidate out of disdain for the other. Choosing the “lesser of two evils” does not give us a good candidate. I wish independent candidates got more votes and actually had a chance in elections, but the media doesn’t cover their campaigns and they aren’t part of the debates. Many people don’t even know they are running.

My point was simply that Trump can run if he wants to. People have other options on the ballot.

When someone is actually able to prove that they can do a better job, let me know, all I see so far is a bunch of complaining and a goal that is lower than the number of people injected in the last few days of the Trump administration.

Ahhh....so you have no problem with that.

Pray, what particular aspect of the "Trump Family" makes them ALL such EXCEPTIONAL, intelligent, informed, connected leaders?
