Why is God all talk when you really need him?

No. I am getting further away from Him. He refuses to do the ONLY thing I want from Him. There is no trust. There is no joy. There is no love. His inaction has burned that away.
You need to repent of your sin.

I struggle with fear. Much of my fear is paranoid delusions. In the moment of them, they are quite traumatic. Even when I can tell myself the likelihood of what I am thinking will in all probability not come to pass, I still can't shake it. So I pray. I make a habit out of praying when I am experiencing these things. Further, after having them, it would be natural for me to question why God would allow this fear to rule my life. But I believe God is sovereign in all things. And when I start to realize that fact, it brings me comfort that even though I am experiencing trauma, that it is according to God's plan. Our suffering is not in vain, nor is there no reason for it. I believe based on what I experience with these traumatic thoughts that even though they are very difficult to deal with, it means more rewards for me in heaven if I persevere. That's the reason for suffering. That if we are faithful to him in trials and tribulations, God will reward us. Our ease of life might not come in this life, but if it doesn't it will surely come in the life to come.

I am sorry for your ordeal. That seems pretty hard to live with. I am glad you are comforted by God’s sovereignty.

I am not. I am wounded by it. The thought that this is all under his control, and He did nothing to stop it, hurts me deeply. I don’t care that He has a reason. It isn’t important to me, in the slightest. I would also trade all comforts in the afterlife to fix the problem that I am facing. That is the most epic case of too little, too late there is.

Then you have neglected a VERY important part of the Gospel, which is that Jesus SUFFERED and DIED when he didn't deserve it. In fact, He's the ONLY PERSON who DIDN'T deserve it, but he endured it and in the process was given ALL AUTHORITY.

No, you are wrong. I got all that. I just don’t care that he has the authority to hurt me. He offers meaningless(to me) words of comfort when I need Him to act. For what I am praying for, He had two answers: Yes and *expletive* you! That is what all the other answers are to me. I am begging Him for a specific miracle. Only the miracle will do. No person on earth can do anything about it. If he grants it, I will be comforted far beyond any comfort I could get from His words. If not, His comforting words are lies.

Why do you have your sights set on a specific miracle? Isn't that kinda "demanding" God do a specific thing for you? How do you think God generally deals with giving Him an ultimatum in the Bible?

I need the one specific thing. That is what I need. Without it, He doesn’t have anything Else that I want.

I don't claim to know what you want. I will just say you should want Jesus above anything else. Earthly things are fleeting. IDK if this is like, you want someone to get saved? IDK what I would put in that classification personally. Saying "If God doesn't do X, I am leaving Christianity" isn't the kind of attitude we should have with our faith. God doesn't really owe us anything.

In any case, I hope you get what your after as long as it is a Good thing. Wanting Good for yourself or others is Good, but we have to understand sometimes God has other things in mind.

Wish you well in this, whatever it is.

He says about the God who humiliated Himself, setting aside His heavenly glory and taking on human flesh, and then dying on a cross for creatures who don't really care that He did but just want God to what they want Him to do. Yeah, God's "inaction" is terrible, just terrible. He so selfish dying for you and me so we don't have to suffer eternal damnation; He's so mean making a way for us to enjoy Him forever even when we didn't deserve it; He's so awful, offering to free us from the death and destruction we bring on ourselves by our own evil choices. No way should you trust a God who so selfishly and cruelly sacrificed Himself for you. He's given you the greatest thing in all of the universe: Himself. Who cares, right? There are other things you care about more. He ought to feel about those things just like you do and give them to you 'cause you want them - and deserve them - so badly. Rotten God.

[STAFF EDITED DELETED QUOTE]

That's exactly what God offers us a huge chunk of the time. It says in the Bible the Holy Spirit is our comforter. The Holy Spirit comforts us in our distress. It doesn't mean he takes away our distress. Go back to what I said. How do you expect me to deal with what I deal with if God wasn't a comfort to me? I would be so utterly lost as an individual without God. That doesn't mean my life or any Christian's life is going to be sunshine and rainbows all the time. In fact, God promises us it's going to be difficult if you are a Christian. I recently saw a poll on Facebook where someone was asking if Christianity is the most difficult religion to be a part of. That in itself is evidence that being a Christian is not always a walk in the park. But we have assurance of comfort in distress, not to be confused with God being a genie to magically make all our problems go away. That's just not how God works.

I suggest you work on softening your heart to the mercy of God's love for you even in the midst of trials.

May God go with you.

i see your point - if He's not the Healer, then how could He be the Comforter - is this essentially what you're saying?
That is one way of putting it, I guess. Also, I hate being comforted.
