Why are people calling John Piper woke and a false teacher?

If people listened and regularly read and listened to John Piper, even from the 80s, they would realize he’s both passionate about Biblical social justice now and always has been. I don’t think this makes him woke at all. I think some people are gifted with certain gifts of the Spirit. Some are mean to be teachers like Sproul, others farmers like Ray Comfort or Lewis, and others are meant to be warriors for social injustice like Piper. Sure he has strong feelings toward critical race theory but I don’t believe even that makes him woke. I know people have been criticized about his opinion on the elections but again, I don’t find that to be sufficient to call him woke. To me, heretical, woke teachers are those who affirm LGBTQ+ lifestyles, stray from biblical doctrine, idolize the BLM movement (the movement itself not the true meaning behind the literal phrase ‘black lives matter’). To me it’s sad because I believe John Piper to be a wonderful man of God and a true teacher of the one true Gospel so to see the community slander him breaks my heart.

It's because they ignore that Piper has repeatedly identified with left-wing policies (that don't have to do with gender or sexuality) for years, or that they ignore that his conservative stances on gender roles and sexuality essentially disqualify him from being welcomed into the ranks of the so-called progressives. This assumes that someone is ignorant enough to make such a statement to begin with, I haven't seen one.

People are being critical of him right now because he believed it was more important to have a government that reflects personal moral character rather than one who implements moral policies...

It's a difference of opinion among conservatives these days. I disagree with Piper, vehemently. More than vehemently really.

I’ve seen a lot of reformed personalities on YouTube call him out for being Woke. I find it ridiculous.

I think it is different than what you say. Truthfully, I disagree with Piper on his stance with the elections. God used Ahaz, Jeconiah and personally wicked kings to bring about His plan. However, Piper disagrees with Biden as well. If he affirmed Biden, I would have a whole different opinion on Piper. But I think it is unfair and unchristian to call John Piper a false teacher or a woke pastor because of his political alignments.

He's supporting all the policies Biden is implementing by voting it in.....

That's not an abrasive personality, that's policies that will destroy us.

I agree. It is unfair. Piper, from what I can tell, is dealing with the reality that no one party (political platform) can capture everything that might be concerning to a Christian citizen. And, from what I've read, he admits that. I'm not a fan of Piper, but I respect his honesty.
