Is there a logical reason God allowed Satan to have authority?

I personally believe Satan has been destroyed, pittsburghjoe. Due to my believe that all scripture has been completed.
I believe we are enticed by our own desires and dragged away from God if we feed into temptations, according to this scripture in James 1:14 Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. This temptation comes from our inner hearts. Hitler was enticed by his own desires.

Reading scripture helps renew our minds, to keep us from getting tempted to follow our own desires. Romans 12:2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Jesus died to more than forgive us, he wants us to be able to be one with God when this is over. Satan still has authority until tribulation.

Jesus' death broke any small amount of authority satan may have had on this earth:

"And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." Colossians 2:13-15

Satan's power came from being our accuser, which is like a prosecuting attorney. When Jesus died having defeated death itself, having the power to discharge our sin-debt under the law, it quite literally broke Satan's authority.

Satan is prince/ruler of this world. Men who reject God serve him, whether they acknowledge
him or not. God gave authority over the earth to man. He relinquishes this authority [post#4]
by walking under the authority of darkness.

Disciples of Christ, not of this world.
John 15:19. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not
of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.

Obviously, Yeshua not of this world.
John 8:23. And He said to them, You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world;
I am not of this world.

His kingdom is not of this world. [John 18:36].

Satan has nothing on anyone who is In Christ.
John 14:30. I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming,
and he has
nothing in Me.

So you realize the Beast is all about authority.

But it's not real authority...

Someone - a government even - can kill you without cause, but they can never affect the fact through Christ you will rise again to life everlasting...

The power of men and governments is meaningless except for in their own minds - that is what we all should have taken away from the Book. It reveals our risen Lord to us in Truth, not satan. Satan stands defeated right now, this second.

Satan has authority because he is going to fight to keep disorder/sin from getting back into heaven. His pride wants every person possible.

When was there disorder/sin in heaven? Be specific, be biblical...

Satan has ZERO authority over those that confess that Jesus Christ is their lord and king.

God has been in control since the beginning.

As to the core of your question.

We see His logic and reason in the story of Job.

Job did everything correct, the devil thought he was going to make Job hate God. The devil had to get permission for every evil he put on Job. God NEVER lost control for a moment of what was happening to Job

Did Job suffer illness, great loss, ridicule and all the rest? Absolutely.

However, at the end of Jobs story, not only wss everything restored to him, but he had MORE than before the enemy was permitted to bring loss and evil into Jobs life.

Job had an intimate relationship to the one with all power, all knowledge and the one who hung the stars in the sky, that knows the hairs on your head, the one that created this Earth and many other planets through out countless solar systems.

People in this world are impressed when you know a celebrity personally..... yet so few in this world see the value in knowing God personally.

That is why, so that we can grow and know Him.

Humanity is foolish and stubborn and rarely learns anything in times of great comfort and ease... its generally only while we suffer that we learn and grow.

God generally allows pain for our growth. The problem is, for humanity its easier to blame God than turn to Him as a Father.

What do you think Judgment Day is about?

So you answer a question with a question. Your logical fallacy's are getting deep.
Answer my original question and back your answer up WITH scripture.

Satan can't keep us from going to heaven if we believe in Jesus. That part of his authority is gone.

That is all his authority. Satan can't make anyone do anything they don't want to do. As Jesus said "resist the devil and he will flee from you"...

Satan can't do squat. John 8:36 "So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free."

We know he has authority over politics and nature. He generates false gods and religions with it. He wants us to believe in anything but Jesus.

People generate all those things... people with evil hearts. People don't want a real God to whom they are answerable for their sin. So they put governments in His place, money and greed in His place, trees and nature in His place, physical pleasure in His place.... They create false religions because they want to be worshipped, not to worship another... and the list goes on.

The number of man, for good reason.

Hmm, we know the antichrist and false prophet get put into the lake of fire ..but what happens to Satan? When he gave his authority to them, did he stop being an angel?

Does Satan only act as a prosecutor for people that have died before tribulation? Is that why the mark of the beast is a thing?

Satan has authority because he is going to fight to keep disorder/sin from getting back into heaven. His pride wants every person possible.
Satan lost his authority when he rebelled against God and decided to try and be like God. Formerly, he was Lucifer, the Light Bearer. He became Satan, the Adversary. Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 record his fall from covering cherub to God's implacable enemy.

Satan was impotent. However, God gave Adam authority over the earth and everything in it. Personally, I believe that included Satan and all his evil host. However, Adam allied himself to Satan instead of God and so became God's enemy. Therefore Satan was able to create the world system which is in direct opposition to the kingdom of God. Adam effectively surrendered his authority to Satan and humanity has been enslaved ever since. (1 John 5:19). That's why Lord Jesus is called "the last Adam". He wrested control back from Satan. All who are born again have authority over Satan also. Why not exercise the authority we have?

Protestant churches have been traditionally amillennial... start there.

You'll never understand Scripture via modern fictional nonsense, even if it makes for exciting plots.
