I don't recall anything in the HP books promoting being like demons. Last time I checked, Jo Rowling was actually a Christian. In fact it's the new trend for right wing US Christians to support her due to her comments about trans people.

It doesn't because I know the news caters towards sensationalist coverage. There have been studies that show people's perception of the world getting worse is based on media consumption, despite data that showed it was getting better (2020 notwithstanding).
