• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I used to think that but it is not true. We need to be walking in holiness and daily repentance because there are many Christians in hell.

They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’

46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
Revelation 25:44

Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Matthew 7:22

In the last scripture there, the people are casting out demons in Jesus name. Those people are Christians. But the Bible tells us Narrow is the path and few find it.

Right now there are 2.4 billion Christians on earth. If they all get into heaven, it would not say" few"
Really depends on what you think Holiness is. The apostles said all the gentile Christians needed to do was "avoid sexual immorality", and not get involved in "idol worship". If you are not living in sexual immorality, and not bowing down to budda, you are a Christian, and are saved. Don't add too many rules to yourself.

Salvation cannot be earned, it's a free gift of God and it's not based on your good works, see Ephesians 2:8-9. Once you are saved and sealed with the Holy Spirit, you will want to avoid sin and do good works to please God, see Ezekiel 36:27. What happens if you go back into sin? God will chastise you, see Hebrews 12:6. But He will not leave you nor forsake you, see Deuteronomy 31:6. Trust the word of God, because he cannot lie, see Titus 1:2.

Please help explain what it is mean as a lost soul inhabiting Hell. As a 27 year old recently becoming schizophrenic, I have had some thoughts about my life and where it actually is. Some hallucinations I endure are months/years long, reoccurring hallucinations almost trapping me as a lost soul. Although, I become aware and believe in Jesus Christ to lead me through this instead of my own eyesight. Nothing threatening really happens.. I just relive things over and over again as if I am lost.. becoming disconnected with history and current happenings. Stuff like COVID happening in 2020 used to be a past year but just changes to up to date times. Unable to tell anyone when it actually happened in my lifetime is beyond me and my ability, well forever.

If someone could help me realize what is happening that would be great. Since stuff happens again and for my sanity I try to take it bit by bit and only understand conversation as advice for a life surely ahead as it was before this started to happen. Until I get back to normal I try my best to stick to what I am being impacted with as this is super confusing for me.

Thanks, please pray for me.
I understand what you and other schizophrenic sufferers face on a daily basis. Enduring the illness myself for almost 20 years, I personally can vouch for my own recovery and independence from medication and the mental health authorities for the last 25 months. But like I said, I can only vouch for my own recovery method being a success.

Yes that is true. Thank you.

Dear Philip,
I understand that you are hard to grasp what is happening to you.

Dear brother, just return to the Lord who can shepherd and be overseer to your soul.

For this is what we have heard:
For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. -1 Peter 2:25

Claim His promise and remind Him of His promise to You.For this is what we have heard:

He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. -Psalms 23:3

Dear brother, repent then release forgiveness to those who wronged you and most important of all, love ; for this is what we have heard:

We, for our part, know that we have passed from death to life because we keep loving the brothers. The person who fails to keep on loving is still under the power of death.-1 John 3:14 CJB

At every chance, show your love to others, then you will not be under the power of death but under the power of God who is love.
