Hello Everyone, First off I just want to say I'm new to all of this, so forgive me if I'm not as proficient with this! I basically wanted to get fellow Christian young adults take on Christian Music, as far as what your favorite Christian song might be, as well as your thoughts on the direction of today's Contemporary Christian and Worship music. Just for some background, I have been a believer since April of 2014, and over the past 6 years I have really come to like all kinds of Christian music, my favorite Christian artists would have to be Chris Tomlin, Phil Wickham, and Jeremy Camp. Favorite Christian bands would have to be Mercy Me, Casting Crowns, Elevation Worship, Hillsong United, & for King & Country. So let me know, who do you like, and listen to when it comes to Christian Music, have you noticed any interesting trends within the industry, and if so what are they?

While this is simply my personal opinion, I think most modern christian music is very generic; a lot of it sounds the same and the lyrics are many times similar to others and they don't seem to have a lot of depth to them. There are exceptions of course.
Personally, I listen to the christian hard rock genre more than anything, with some other stuff mixed in, including a little contemporary christian. My favorite artists are Disciple, Wolves at the Gate, Skillet, Red, Thousand Foot Krutch, Pillar, Switchfoot, and Spoken.

I just started exploring the depths of Christian music. This was something hard for me to let go of secular music but a lot of the messages & subliminal thoughts that come from it aren't from God. They're actually the complete opposite. I love a variety of genres but listening to classic worship music just wasn't doing it for me. I love hiphop, jazz, and electronica. Well I found all of these by Christian artists! A group I really love is Lord's Child & their lukewarm album I have had on repeat lately. Amen worldwide is also a group of amazing unique Christian artists. I follow all of their playlists on spotify.
