OK, I just came across this video and laughed my head off. I thought some might like it here, or at least find it funny.

Summary: It is a comedic "cartoon" look at the inauguration ceremony.

For me, political humor must be "personal" to be funny. That is, you can't just "insert politician you hate/love here" and make it funny. It has to speak to the real world attributes of the person or event in it. With that, I give you...

This site has some confusing and very unique rules about posting videos. I saw this message: Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.

So I posted a summary. If this one violates them, let me know and I'll delete it. Thanks.

Considering his actual speech was both inspiring and unifying this cartoon sure got it wrong.

Is this funny?
What did Q predict about Trump?

The joke is on all Q's followers and Q going quiet because he was wrong.
If you replaced the name Q with Putin, would the outcome have been any different?
Who betrayed who?

I would not know about Q. I heard of him but never followed. You're just deflecting.

It looks like the video got the crowd size and military presence about right. :) You gotta admit the optics of the whole thing were right out of a twilight zone episode. It's surreal.

And then it touched on how Biden tended to talk, and who most observers think will REALLY be president in the not too distant future.

But, of course, time will tell. I just thought this video was funny. But not everybody has the same sense of humor.

I didn't find that funny at all.
Seemed more like far right wing propaganda. Just fed off the election smear campaign to try to get right leaning voters to think Biden is senile and that Kamila as president is the real goal of the election.

But none of that is true, just a continuance on right wing propaganda that has dominated the last 4 years.

Humour works with those of a common political outlook.

"Most observers think" - I would suggest 100% most observers know Trump has blown his cover and will not recover.

What is sacred to all Americans? The centre of democracy in Washington.
Now the right wing do not actually care about the democratic principles, which is true in all countries, but the majority do, and hold the symbols of these things dear.

It is one thing to challenge an opponent within the system, another to take on the system itself. And that is really the point. A whole group actually believe they want a theocracy, but this is not America, and America was formed to stand against the mixing of government and religion. It is therefore ironic, to call patriots to set up a form of government which is not patriotic.

God bless you

The small crowd size was due to the corona virus pandemic that the Trump administration largely ignored.

Biden doesn't talk like that at all. For some reason the Trump supporters drinking the coolaid were really surprised how well Biden did at the presidential debates.
Chris Wallace said that Biden's inaugural speech was the best that he has ever heard.

Noone except those far gone Trump supporters who believe anything they are told by Trump, Hannity Carlson etc think that Biden was a front for getting Harris into the presidency.

But, of course, time will tell. I just thought this video was funny. But not everybody has the same sense of humor.
It's strange what Trump supporters consider humourous.
Mocking disabled reporters, calls to lockup innocent people, pleas for police brutality etc

Well, I guess we'll just disagree, on all those points. I just thought it was funny.

I think there are a lot of incorrect inferences in that post. I'm not going to convince you otherwise. I will throw out that there were a lot of complaints about the electoral vote "system" four years ago. And there was a lot of physical violence too. Come to think of it, there is right now. I just heard my favorite Starbucks, the original one in Pike Place Market in Seattle was ransacked by Antifa. Apparently they don't like Joe either. Other videos and stories are there too. Looks like we're two days in and things are "heating up from the left". And we haven't gotten into the riot season yet.

But we have a new administration. Now they will own it. I sincerely hope they handle it well. I'm not joking.

I have an honest, hypothetical question for you. If you have solid evidence that an election was stolen, should you fight it?

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.”

The military presence was there because it was arranged by the Trump administration.
The small crowd size was due to the corona virus pandemic that the Trump administration largely ignored.
From here (bold mine): Rare Pentagon Mission: Armed Troops in Capital
But now, after a violent pro-Trump mob that included white supremacists and neo-Nazis stormed the Capitol last Wednesday, overwhelming the limited number of police officers on hand, the Pentagon is going where before it feared to tread. And it is some of the very same people — Democrats — who have in the past warned against a muscular response to past protests, now pushing for an armed military.
Regarding the virus. Yes, that is the excuse that is being used to control Americans like never before, and explain away small Biden crowds.

Yes, he did. I'll just post one example as exhibit A from Sky news in Austrailia:

I don't know about any of that stuff in your last sentence, but yes, comedy is subjective. I think the difference between you and me is that I understand why people think some things are funny, even when I don't.

I ignore what politicians say.

You might give his speech a listen. It was very good. The caricature of the comedy video could have been funny if it in some way resembled the actual speech. (There's a little truth in everything said in jest, as they say) But this piece of comedy hit so wide of its mark that it simply reflects badly on its creator. But, comedy can be difficult, so. But, yeah, you might give our President's inaugural speech a listen.

Quite frankly, I don't care about the military presence at the innauguration. I don't at all think it is evidence that the government is trying to force it's might on the people. This is unfounded and fear filled rightwing nonsense, especially given that it was the Trump administration which organised security at the innauguration. Even if Biden's people asked for the security, I certainly don't see any problems with that, but Trump could have refused, just like he refused to attend and how he refused to give Biden a plane to get to the inauguration.

Regarding the virus. Yes, that is the excuse that is being used to control Americans like never before, and explain away small Biden crowds.
I really don't care about the size of crowds.
But it is a worry that there are people that still deny a deadly pandemic killing over 2 million around the world and 400K on USA shores.

FYI, that rule was not to stifle the creative sharing of stuff. It was just that some posters were in the habit of starting threads by posting a youtube video and nothing more. Often, those videos were 40 minutes, an hour or even longer. Now, people at least get a glimpse of what they're getting into.

Oh my,
1. That lady presenter could give Hannity a run for his money
2. Have you never made any gaffes at all while public speaking? This is just pathetic
