Despite my Scottish ancestry I don't think I could bring myself to try haggis.
Burn's night, and St Andrew's day, always an excuse for shortbread though - not that there's necessarily anything Scottish about shortbread.

Archaeology and Geology seems to place it somewhere near present day Seville.

From what I know of maritime archaeology the trading vessels of the 1st millenium BC would have been able to negotiate the relatively calm waters of the Mediterranean but would have struggled badly out in the Atlantic. Most certainly Tarshish in Spain. Kind Regards :)
