Remember back in the day when walls and fences were such a terrible thing? When Trump and the rest of us who care about border security wanted either a wall or fence along the USA/Mexico border, we were labeled as being hateful people who want to cause division. “Bridges, not walls” is what we were told we should want. But what happens on day one when Biden and the democrats have complete control? They build a razor wire fence around the National Mall in Washington DC, and they guard it with 25,000 military troops (Trump voters vetted out, of course), armed and ready to fire on American citizens if they dare get close to their new ruler. Not a very good indication of wanting unity, unless unity is the surrender of any political opposition. “No unity, no peace.”

Biden was correct when he said that America’s darkest days are ahead.

I remember that it was supposed to be a 35-ft high monolithic concrete wall along the entire border with few official openings and that Mexico would pay for it.

But the fence around the Capitol and the troops to guard it were ordered by the Trump administration--the Biden administration didn't start until noon today.

I know. They're ok to use against Americans, but not against anyone else to keep America safe.
Did you already forget about January 6th?

I think a guy with a pipe bomb is more dangerous than an unarmed mom and her kids.

Is the fence still there?

Again with this.

Okay, first off - Biden became President at noon today. Before that, security and setting up the inauguration was the responsibility of the Trump administration. Biden didn't call in those troops, Trump's people did. Giving him flak, for the troops is really, REALLY silly. Biden did not have 'complete control' before then.

Second off, there are usually national guard troops present at the inauguration. They were present at Trump's inauguration, Obama's, so forth and so on. That's the sort of thing you would expect when you have a ton of elected officials gathering in one place in a highly publicized event, in particular when they were all just attacked nearly two weeks ago.

And finally, no one ever said that ALL FENCES AND WALLS ARE BAD. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that most of our government lives in some sort of domicile that has a wall, and that many of them own fences of some kind. The issue with the border wall wasn't just because it was a wall, and you know that, so this is all a little bit disingenuous, and you should frankly feel a little embarrassed for even trying to pass this off as a serious starter for a discussion.

Personally, I'm glad that there was a military presence at the Inauguration today. I was concerned for the safety of President Biden and Vice President Harris. Let's face it, pro-Trump Insurrectionists were crazed enough to (1) storm the Capitol, (2) violently riot, (3) break into Congressional offices and steal from members of Congress, (4) murder a Capitol police officer, (5) chant "HANG MIKE PENCE," and (6) erect a noose outside of the Capitol building to hang former VP Mike Pence as a traitor. With all that in mind, it's probable that some of them would be crazed enough to make an assassination attempt against President Biden and Vice President Harris. I'm thankful nothing happened yesterday.

By the way, this is funny. Twelve of the National Guard members were vetted out. Twelve, out of thousands. Are you saying Trump only had twelve voters out of that many? I mean, I know he does poorly in the popular vote, but even Kanye gets better than that.

Turns out Americans are the ones we needed to worry about.

All of a sudden building walls and using the military as a domestic police force is just fine.
Not suddenly. Ever since right wing terrorists decided to attack our nation’s Capitol.

It's very unsettling that domestic terrorism is a real threat in our country now.
the extremist are brilliant enough to think " get rid of biden and kamala , trump gets to be president again "
they don't know how things actually work.

Walls and fences are cool . Just not paying a ridiculous amount of gov money on them . I love my fence .

And those vetted out were because of ties to extremist groups, not because they were Trump supporters unless the OP wants to make the argument that the few Trump supporters they did find were all extremists.

Not suddenly. Ever since right wing terrorists decided to attack our nation’s Capitol.

None of them are Patriots.

What did we last, 3 hours? I think that’s a record.

Maybe on Christian Forums, but I've been hearing it all day.

Actual facts tend to get in the way of their misleading narratives.
