I’m hopeful. Pres. Biden is no enraged, flame-throwing, burn-it-all down Jacobin. He’s as centrist as anyone in politics these days can be. He was a Senator for a long time. He, Chuck Schumer, and Mitch McConnell all know each other well and have made deals before. Let’s hope they can do it again. At least it’s refreshing to see some sensible, cool-headed adults finally running the asylum.

I hate to bring him up even for a moment but seeing the Clintons, the Bushes and the Obamas along with the former VP Pence, the Senate GOP leader and so many others all in attendance at the inauguration really highlights what an anomaly Trump has been in American politics.

I saw on the news that Jon Bon Jovi will be performing during the Inaugural concert. The 80's teenage girl inside me suddenly woke up, but seeing him today is making me feel really old right now.

If it wasn't for the COVID pandemic, then I would have tried to go to Washington D.C., so I could witness the Inauguration in person. I'm content watching the events live on television though.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I once had Bon Jovi posters plastered on my bedroom wall when I was a teenager back in the 1980s. Bon Jovi was one of my favorite groups. I still listen to 80's music.

I actually saw him live in concert back when he was still a nobody. He opened up for a hair metal group called Ratt, and almost no one probably remembers them nowadays. I'm sure I had at least a poster or two myself.
I hadn't heard anything about him being at the Inauguration events today though, so neat!
