I think we are beyond being able to stand. Now it's about how we fall. It's so sad. Hatred hasIt’s been a combination with the isolation Covid brought and witnessing the seeming collapse of both society and our church.
I watched a video tonight with the “news” guy Jake Tapper and he was literally seething when talking about Trump and republicans in general. The hatred was almost palpable .
Then I worry about myself where I start feeling intense feelings that cross the line when watching the likes of Jake Tapper.
A nation divided cannot stand.
Then I think of what's happening in our Church and I know the Lord's promise, but it looks about the same. The new archbishop of Dublin is a Fr. James Martin wannabe. How can that be popesplained? I don't think it can. Which adds to the depression.
That's it! We're all depressed.
We were born for this time. I know. But it's not looking fun. It's looking foreboding.
