I've never threatened her with hell. She claims she's a Catholic. I've told her she isnt really so by her actions.

Now. Would you be against telling her such?

Yes I would be against telling my mother she isn't a Catholic when she says she is.

You don't know what might have happened that turned her away from practicing
her religion more seriously. The most you can do is pray for her.

BTW, I saw my friend become an in your face Catholic with his relatives. He turned every
one of them away from the Church and his own mother refuses to let him say anything
concerning religion.

In your face religion doesn't work to help them.

I read what you high-lighted and don't understand your problem with what I posted.

You clipped off the last part, which I said it also included their pastor.

As I said before, the pastor us under the authority of their Bishop. So, the pastor is essentially speaking for the Bishop in this matter.

I would call it basic commonsense. Otherwise you are offloading your responsibility to hold a brother or sister to account to a priest. As much as I respect clerical authority, the laity have a right to judge.
