The bible prophesied that the merchants/great men of the earth would decieve the people by their "SORCERIES". Now sorcery in the greek is G5331, and this word means "PHARMAKEIA" which is where we get our word "PHARMACY" from. Here let us take a look at the verse:

Revelation 18:23

Now let us look at the definition of G5331 PHARMAKEIA.

Is this not what is going on in these last days? It is the pharmaceutical industry that will decieve the people by telling them that their MEDICATION will make everything alright. Of a truth they will use this virus to gain a ton of wealth and to implement a form of control.

I used to believe there was no way the rnd comes in my life time. After covid and paying attention to the falling of the leaves and the signs of humanity valuing feelings over logic/truth among many other things.... I am now convinced that it WILL happen in my lifetime.

Arguments over if it is or is not coming soon or far off..... it is unlikely either mind will be changed because they argue through intellect and feeling.... and both, due to pride are not likely receptive to what the Holy Spirit is saying to them.

Pearls to swine, either the pearls are the end is far off and the one convinced the end is near will turn on you.... or... the reverse is also true.

The article you quote is from Joseph Mercola. He is an alternative medicine proponent and purveyor of anti-vaccination misinformation. Should we rely on his prophecies or on the Bible? The Bible should comfort us as it says:

Mat 16:18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not overpower it.

I hope Christians do not attach themselves to false prophets but rather rest in God who protects us. We need to bring light and peace to the world not anxiety and fear.

I both agree and disagree. Yes, we are to be a light to the world that is ever growing darker by the hour. At the same time, did Jesus Christ ever not warn us what is coming and is already in the world? No, He warned out of love, otherwise He would not have said anything at all.

As a first generation american living in NY it's already happening here. Most cant afford the rents on their crappy little one window apartments, working into their 80's. Indebted for decades, can't afford the car repair bill so they get rid of it, but happily are convinced they did it to save the environment all the while being happier than a pig in (fill in the blank). Still thinking they are superior to everyone else because they live in NYC.

Bottom line Not only will your grandchildren be slaves but they will love it and defend it to their death.

This ngram makes something clear: even though we are tested, the test itself has not been shaken (look back where the word "test" started, below Christ; then look back where Christ was, above the word "end" - "shaking" became popular at the end of this, but not moreso for the sake of "snare" (the snare Jesus said would come upon the Earth?)).

Remember what Jesus said "first bind the strongman, then you can plunder his goods".

These things point to Christ's return, for which the world suffers, till the Day of His appearing!

I don't know that Jesus teaches second by second, so much as hour by hour - Revelation talks about the anti-Christ receiving power for an hour, that is where the test is (do we want Jesus' teaching, or do we want influence with the principalities of this world?).

We don't even know what elements of revelation have played out already, if any. This is a real stretch analyzing every little detail. I imagine during WWII many would have thought Hitler was the Anti-Christ, especially with how hard he pursued the Jews. This Pandemic is just another event in history so far.

More people are looking for the Antichrist today. No one is even looking for the Second Coming. I think they would rather reject a false prophet, than accept a message from John the Baptist.
