Jesus is always the same, but man's understanding about God changes and evolves.

The Christians of the early Church had a different belief about God because of the revelation
of Jesus Christ and what God was about.

God does not change. All the Chaos, plague, and death in the streets come directly from him in judgment. Look at his judgment on many churches right now.

I just came across pedoempire.org after hearing it suggested many times from different sources. The stuff claimed in those books is beyond anything I imagined. I looked in the contents section of the site for a glimpse into the book. If even some of what I read is true, the people who should be afraid are not folks like us. Lots of disillusionment is coming if the rumors about 9-11, Vegas shootings, the world banking system...etc. are even partly true. People msy flip out bad if there is truth to the rumors.

A person is either guided by self interest of concern for others. A person of self interest would never bother caring for others as self, but would indeed seek others like self. In the end we are known by our fruits.

No doubt a reason to feel insecure, seeing as how any house divided has been predicted to fall. God gave us a solution to insecurity in saying focusing on others removed the focus on self.

The only thing you or any of us need to be afraid of is going to hell. That's it! The ways of this world will be the ways of this world and you cannot do anything about it. What you can do something about is accepting the gift Jesus Christ gave you by repenting, asking forgiveness, praying, getting baptized and seeking the narrow path. One thing that is certain is we all will die. We will all draw our last breath and feel exactly like we do now. All that will change is our location. Where will you go? This world will pass away, we will not. The human body dies, that is the illusion. The soul does not. Worry about that. God bless you.

In 1980, Jimmy Carter had lost to Ronald Reagan and the news was full of “stagflation”, “hostages in Iran”, and the threat from the Soviet Union. (I attended school, worked to take care of my family, and supported my local church ... none of the prophesied dooms harmed me or my house.)

In 2000, Al Gore had just lost to George W. Bush and the news was full of “Clinton perjury and impeachment”, “bankruptcy of Social Security”, “US deaths in Somalia”, “partisan gridlock in Washington” and the lawsuits over the infamous Florida Recount of dimpled chads. (I worked at my job to support my family, and supported my local church ... none of the prophesied dooms harmed me or my house.)

In 2020, Donald Trump has just lost to Joe Biden and the news is full of “gloom and doom” predictions about what will happen soon. (I plan to continue to work at my job to support my family. I plan to continue to support my local church. Based on the last 40 years of listening to the beat of the same drum by the same false prophets, I expect none of the prophesied dooms will harm me or my house.)

Am I the only one that sees a pattern being repeated?

Trump is a man of peace, so he won't encourage any physical confrontation although there are millions who are indeed prepared to go to war. Now in my personal opinion, I don't think an attack by any armed group would go anywhere. It would be a disaster and people would end up dead and in jail, but it wouldn't change a thing in terms of leadership so if anything like that is going to happen it will be isolated and short lived.

The only way I can see an actual civil war happening is if states declare independence and other states don't accept that. That's when a war can actually happen.

Having said all that, for some reason I've had a great calm come over me during the last week or so. I don't know why. I don't know if it's because I've told myself to take a step back and not assume the worst, or if it's because I actually believe there's still a righteous resolution to all of this, or if that peace has come from God.

Another thing I'd like to share is that I've been thinking lately of the George Washington prophecy, which I know is most likely fictional, but I've noticed that it actually lines up very nicely with Revelation 20:9.

They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.

I believe we're living in the thousand years, and that being the case, the end of the thousand years can come at any time. This verse speaks of that time. There's not a lot of detail but it tells us that Satan will be released from his prison "for a short time" and he will deceive many, and his armies will "surround the camp of God's people". Deception is most definitely happening right now on a scale I've never seen before and I believe this "surrounding" mentioned in Revelation is a spiritual surrounding, as in Christians will be marginalized and persecuted. I believe this is happening, or starting to happen, now. It sounds scary but the hopeful part of all of this is that Satan will only be able to surround us, not destroy us, because that's when the cavalry arrives.

As for the George Washington prophecy, the third part of it talks about the people of the United States being overwhelmed by many other nations. Now I had always assumed that means a physical invasion but we've just learned that hundreds of nations were involved in the election fraud against America and the result of that is now overwhelming the American people. Let's remember that a modern war is fought in cyber space, and the devil fights us in our hearts and minds, so no actual guns have to be fired for a war to exist. Could this prophecy actually be true, and could it be referring to the election fraud? I'm not sure, but it could be understood in the same way that Revelation 20:6 is described and I find that very interesting.

There is much fear mongering by those who desire to stir up violence and make their enemy appear like the worst evil ever. But they are not of God or His ways.

The pandemic is a real storm in which we are in, the economic crisis is a real storm we are in, but in all this we are covered by the love of Jesus alive in our hearts.
