Hello I'm joey and Well I'm new here and dont even know how this works. I need some help and any reply will be gratefull.my name is joey and I'm currently in state prison for a crime I did not commit.im sure people hear this all the time and that is fine if people dont believe me I'm not trying to convince anyone because I already gave up on people like my public defender saying they would help prove my innocence and that not happening. I just need help because I feel like god abandoned me. Why would god send me to prison for so long for something I did not do? Why do I have to go through all this pain for nothing? My mom passed away while I have been in prison and I could not be there to see her before she died. I have even lost contact with my daughter and cannot get that back. Now covid is here and we cannot get visits and i have not seen my wife in almost a year now because of this virus.I just dont know what to do. I just want to give up and be done because I dont understand how go could allow an innocent man to go to prison and abandon me. I know I'm complaining but I just dont know what to do
(Gen 1:27) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
(Gen 1:28) And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and
have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
(Psa 115:16) The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but
the earth hath he given to the children of men.
God
has ultimate control over everything, but He has delegated control over the earth to people in flesh bodies; God did not send you to prison - men did. God gave men free will, and more often than not, men use that free will for evil.
(Joh 8:29) And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
(Joh 8:30) As he spake these words, many believed on him.
(Joh 8:31) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him,
If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
(Joh 8:32) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
as you study God's Word through the bible, you will learn to receive direction from Him; direction on who to contact about your situation, what to say to them, etc. - and you learn how to perceive His direction by practicing this in little things in daily life. for example, ask Him who to talk to and who to avoid each day - He knows everyone's heart, and while He won't override anyone's free will, He will guide you with His knowledge of what inmates around you have in their heart toward you - He may not tell you what's in their heart, but He will use His knowledge to guide you.
try to look at this from a spiritual view; you have an opportunity to focus on God through His Word that most people don't - you're free of dependents, free of the requirement to earn money to buy food and shelter with, etc.
it's a hard fact that you are in a 'desert' of sorts; your options are limited for the time being - but this allows you the freedom to
focus. if you can focus on God through His Word, He can teach you though His Holy Spirit inside of you, and the Truth will make you free from torment where you are now, and wherever you will go.
the first step is to recognize where you are with God - have you made Jesus your Savior, Lord, and Master?
