We were talking about praising technology (the arm of the flesh) against my examples of how it fails.

No. That's what your talking about. I am talking about Jesus Christ and trusting in Him. I merely made a brief point of what I think most likely will happen. It does not mean I am correct. It does not mean I trust in the military to keep me safe, but my trust is entirely in GOD. So you can stop it already with the false accusations.

Whatever is used is only useful against it's own kind. Tech is no match against cave dwellers with rocks as we have seen. Digital is no match against analogue and the ways of man are no match against the ways of God.

Okay, okay, hold up, wait a minute..lol

I did not post this to argue or cause tension. Please everyone, let's not do this. I appreciate everyone's kind words and support. I need to focus less on what's going on (but be aware) and remember who I am in Christ...and how much fear can take over me.

I was up at 1 am sitting on my bathroom floor..lights out, in the dark..just praying and talking to God. (Only quiet place downstairs without my cats harassing me lol) He knows my fears..I tell him this...he knows me better than I know myself lol.
I have got to stop letting other peoples misinformation, and fear sneak over into my life. Believe me I have read it all..what other people are saying...pedophile ring...eating babies...satanic rituals among the celebrities..ive heard President trump has some last string of information we don't know and he will carry on for 4 years, etc.
It is unusual to have that many military troops present...this is what is unsettling to me.

I am better today...my cousin has some videos on YouTube, and he has one on fear that he shared with me..it couldn't come at a better time.

Pretend you live someplace else and see how relevant these issues then are. It helps see past what we are expected to see as reality and what really is. Or simply go sit in a forest and ask yourself what all the nonsense has to do with God's reality.

No they didn't.

The Vietcong were fighting for their own homeland against a foreign invader, first the French, then the US. Same was actually true of the American Revolution. It was people fighting for their homeland.

However, an armed uprising of civilians in this country, would be trying to defeat the US Military, with members who are also of this country. That being said, the technology the US Military has today can not be matched by a rebel militia.

Don't try to compare it to the Vietnam War, they were two different events in two different times. We didn't even have the internet during the Vietnam War. Today, drones, robots and other technologies would find the hideouts of rebels very quickly and destroy them easily.

I do not believe that war is a judgement by God.

Man causes wars, not God.

God helps the faithful through it, but even they get killed in wars.

Our salvation isn't of this world, but of the next. Our faith keeps us true to God's commandments, even when it's difficult.

However, the native Americans were essentially living in a primitive state technically when the Europeans arrived. What destroyed them most was their lust for modern goods the Europeans brought over. I could get into the history, but it isn't the subject of this thread

Depends who you mean by Afghans ? Afghanistan is essentially an area consisting of tribes with flags. The Taliban were driven out of Afghanistan by US Forces early on. They only came back as we stopped fighting and began to leave.

The current government which the US set up, is trying to form a nation that never really existed before, but where Islamic Fundamental Tribalism was the norm. The Taliban's success is driven by support from Pakistan and other Islamic groups who support a Sunni style of Islam. The current government has been negotiating with the Taliban and there is some success.

Most likely, once the US finally, the waring Tribes will return to their original ways and the Taliban will attempt to take control of the large cities once again.

Disease wasn't used as a weapon as the Europeans who first came, had little idea about how diseases were transmitted. They had little knowledge of medicine and no idea that the animals they kept were the main source for the diseases which killed the Natives

It was the way of the world back then. Explore the world and move into new lands discovered. Native people where sometimes friendly, but more often violent.

Understanding the context of the times helps be less judgmental of the people of the past.
