Many people today are naïve about taking up arms against the government today, believing it will be just small arm fire fights.

All anyone has to do to see what a civil war would look like is to look at Syria.

Who'd want that here ? It'd be ten times worse than what's taken place there over the past 10 years.

Vietnam was an example of how Standing Armies are sitting ducks. So were the British during the Revolution. You need to kill many innocent people to use that size of a force.

If God determined a civil war, nothing will prevent it. You should say "Lord willing" and not "prophesy" your ideas.

She won't lose her close relationships, thankfully. She lives with her sister, and I don't think her sister cares one bit about my mom's political views lol. They don't faze me at all. Or my son, I've talked to him a lot about "what Grandma believes" and why I find it extreme and not worth getting riled up over, and he understands. We're the only close relatives she has. We're quite used to getting random books in the mail, or Youtube videos in our email inboxes, about visions and angels and dreams and prophecies and such. We just quietly dispose of them. She knows we don't want them or agree with them, but she'll send them anyway.

She's mentally sound. She's very intelligent and giving and kind. This just fills some void for her, that she's had for some years. I just leave it between her and God.

I honestly don't know if she subscribes to the more fringe "Q" conspiracies, like drinking babies' blood and all that jazz. I wouldn't think so, but I may be wrong!

Yet, you are saying there will be a Civil War and you are pointing to history. I am not prophesying, either. I am just offering my opinion on what seems most likely to happen. It does not mean I could not be wrong. I am not saying that I know the future with 100% certainty by any means outside of Scripture. The only future events I know will happen with 100% certainty are the ones in Revelation.

FYI, I served in the Marines as an M60 Machine Gunner in 1970.

I think there is a good chance of civil war. But hope the Lord quells the present climate. But if he predestinated it, nothing can prevent it. And trusting in the arm of the flesh (the Army) always proved futile in the OT. Remember David numbering the troops?

I am not trusting in the arm of the flesh by any means. I know that without GOD no army can stand. The problem I have is in stoking the fires of fear in a future event that has not happened yet based on one's own limited human reasoning.

The person of this thread is looking for comfort and not fear.
But even by some odd chance there is a Civil War, we need to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ all the more and hold to His teachings even more tightly. But in my view it does no good to stoke fear on event that has not happened yet. Our Lord's teachings is in support of non-violence and in loving our enemies.

It appears that you just want to argue to be correct or right about something that involves stoking fear on event that is not guaranteed to happen. I am here to speak the truth of Jesus Christ and in trusting in Him no matter what. You can keep going on if you like. Jesus is the reason why I am here. So I would prefer to talk about our Lord and in trusting in Him and His teachings instead of shaking in fear on a what if scenario.
