It’s a cult that has influenced a lot of people, including a lot of the people (I believe a majority) of those who stormed the capital. You can google it for more info. They think there is going to be a blackout for 10 days...any day now.

One why? You don't need much space if you are not saving packaged processed food.
Yes I guess a large freezer could hold 6 months worth of meat. I freeze a lot of prepped food and also keep frozen dinners, fruit and our cat food in there.

We have been going down the wicked path for some time now, and God gave us an opportunity to return to Him and we've rejected it. He is going to allow us now turning us over to the reprobate mind. The United States of America, along with all other nations of Christendom, has been suffering from the punishments of disobedience found in Deuteronomy for many, many years now. This is only a further descent into that same punishment. We have turned our face away from God, and without His laws, our nations have fallen into chaos. We are being chastised as a means to bring us towards repentance. If one is to read the punishments of disobedience, it describes the modern cultural, political, and racial melting pot of America as concisely as it could ever be contemplated. Babylon to the letter.

I share in your excitement concerning Christ's second advent.

Y'all.....I'm going to 100% honest...I'm scared right now. I'm trying to calm down and remember who is in control...but the way things are going with this election, has me thinking some kind of war is coming. I mean to hear both sides...to see hundreds of military present...
I don't support them...Biden or Trump..in fact how do we know they are not working together. I hate this division..and its getting worse.

I keep hearing people say something is coming..get ready..stock up for 2 weeks. Is anyone else unsettled about this situation?
(And I know) that we are suppose to be brave...trust God...but at the same time I feel a storm is coming.
you do need to trust in God but he doesn't promise to keep us away from the storms. God is less interested in unrest on a political horizon and he is more interested in unrest in your own heart. If the worst should happen (which biblical prophecy tells us it will happen) our trust is in God even if we are not comfortable with it.

as the popular song articulates "When peace like a river attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll, Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say, It is well, it is well with my soul" there is a deeper meaning in these words as the author of the lyrics Horatio Spafford lost his 4 daughters at sea and his wife alone escaped. While boarding a boat to meet his wife as the boat passed near the spot where the ship sank he was inspired to write these lyrics. So "sorrows like sea billows roll" was less of a metaphor and more of a very intimate description of his own sorrows, yet he says "it is well with my soul".

Only the rest God gives can calm that kind of internal conflict. Christ tells us "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." these are simple words with very deep impactful meaning and action. Horatio Spafford seems to have received this rest Christ speaks of but no doubt it was a journey, Christ also calls to you and offers this rest to calm the storms inside of you. I can't tell you what that looks like for you, as it's your own journey, but it is only in Christ we may find this rest, not in political rest or our love for our country or your job, family, friends, health or many other things of this world we hang on to so tightly.

So if you're holding your breath until all is well with the world you may find yourself never breathing again. drop your firm grip on promises and hopes of things in this world and look to the promises of Christ. As he can give us rest in the midst of unrest (but don't be surprised if it doesn't look the way you want it to).

Honestly I feel the same way. We need not to be afraid. Of course that is easier said than done. But we must remember as followers of Christ although war is never a good thing it proves how much closer we are to Christ's return. We got to put on the armor of God and embrace whatever comes to our soil. We should enjoy watching endtimes prophecy play through you only get to go thru it one time and you only have to go thru it one time. It's out of our control, it's all in God's hands.

Fear is due to the unknown and not having any control over it but remember God has a plan and all that is going on around us right now is just a speck in the big picture. Hang onto the Lord , prepare your household as your mother has said because we cannot rule out war or natural disasters in the near future and don’t ever lose hope no matter how bad it gets out there, God is greater than this sideshow playing out on the world stage.

I honestly wouldn't worry about it, although I'm sure if your there seeing more military deployed in one city than are in both Iran and Afghanistan combined currently it probably looks drastic..

But nothing's going to occur. What happened on Capital Hill was just riled up people who let rash judgement take over in a moment of opportunity when they were there anyway and it was a very small number of people, all things considered.

Nothing is going to happen next week and the military will leave. The plurality of Trumps supporters believe in law enforcement and most especially our military, and would do anything to support them..

There's always a few nuts in every crowd... last week was no different.

As far as making sure you have two weeks of necessities, food, medicine etc. They've been saying that since last year, at the beginning of COVID and it's a good idea always, for any family because you never know what can happen... doesn't have to be nefarious issues, it's winter after all.. :)

I'll keep you in my prayers.

God's four sore Judgments. War, famine Pestilence/plague, wild beasts

How much of God’s four sore judgments have we seen in our lifetimes? How much are we seeing now? How much more can we expect to see?

If we study all that plagues the human race, it seems all but accidents fall into one of these four categories. And we know God controls accidents too. The wild beasts seem far removed unless we include the transmission of disease from animals to humans. Like bats and rats spreading plagues. War is unending today. Famine hangs in a fragile balance.

Not Just for the Jews of old. Revelation universalizes it.

If we study the Book of Revelation on a spiritual level we see vivid symbols of the judgments. The bearing up under God’s wrath happening all around us. Especially in the flu epidemics now becoming a pandemics. All the seals, trumpets and bowls represent God’s judgment in endless cycles of pain and suffering of the human race culminating in the fiery end of the world.

Does the Old Testament shape your world view? How do you understand the suffering in the world around you?

The way I’ve been dealing with all of the media output is to completely turn it off. I’ve not watched the news in about a year. Unfortunately I’ve still picked up things and I feel that I still know the pertinent information. Back away from media and try to pray without ceasing. Remember, Christ will appear a second time to those who look for him. This tells me that if you don’t look, you don’t find. Seek and ye shall find is a promise.

I've had exactly the same thought. It's all really frightening. I feel so bad for the children coming up in this world. What do they have to look forward to? The wonderful United States of America that our forefathers fought and died for is gone. :(

We are not to concern ourselves with politics, as there is no political solution to our woes. The descendants of Cain inherited this world through the right of first-born inheritance, and their lineage is in direct control of many government and media establishments. Christ confirmed them as the current "princes of this world" in the Gospel of John.

As long as we remain faithful, we will be protected, clothed, and fed. Christ taught that when we concern ourselves first with the Kingdom of Heaven, then the practical necessities of life will be provided to us. Study to show yourself approved, remain faithful. Let that be an exultation of your faith, and a means of deliverance from the tribulations to come. Whatever you do, don't hinge your faith on any political leader. They will all fail you in the end. Only God can adequately protect you. Concern yourself with what is right in His eyes, and not with what is right in the eyes of fallible men.

Thank you, and I don't get into politics. I've never voted and never will...I'm not even registered to vote lol. I usually never pay too much attention to it...but this one is different. Not putting my faith in men, don't trust them. This feels like a bad episode of Jerry springer, and I wouldn't doubt if they are working together...so please don't think that I am a political person lol, I'm not. This one is just different.

Thank you..but I don't put my hopes in this world. This is not my home, but am I scared of war..yes..being honest. Hopefully this will blow over soon without any major problems.

Thank you..but I don't put my hopes in this world. This is not my home, but am I scared of war..yes..being honest. Hopefully this will blow over soon without any major problems.
You need to realize the world is under judgment. And war is part of it. But he protects us first through Christ and then through the doors he opens before us. Read PS 91.
