Storms Of Life

Many people in the United Kingdom have been effected by Storm Bella. Heavy rain and force winds have packed the British Isles. Winds of more than 100 mph have caused damage to tree,fences and property. Even on the Isle of Wight winds have risen at 'The Needles' of 106 mph. .......This reminds me of the 'storms of Life'. We can be battered by the storms of COVID-19,gear,doubt,sickness and adversity,but we know that God is with us! Christmas has reminded us of this. 'Immanuel - 'God with us'. He helps us,as our Refuge,through the 'storms of Life'. Have you found this to be so?

Sunday morning my wife gave our Son-On-Law a lift to his work and the lane where he lives was blocked by fallen trees. It reminded me of the 'Harricane' in the 80s. Trees fallen down everywhere. The chimney of the Corner House had fallen on the neighbour's car. Slates off roofs and fences blown away. Storm Bella was not so severe as that. When sickness comes it can be like a storm battering us. This past two years has been like that for me. In and out of hospital and pandemic lockdown this past year. But God's peace has prevailed and brought us through. Thank You. God for Your Presence,Protection and Power in the storms of life!

He or she who builds on the Rock Christ Jesus will stand firm!

Jesus is in the boat with us! He will calm the storms and still the waves!

Storms may come and storms may go,but the Word of the LORD endures forever!
