I got asthma myself. his breathing technique gives you a rush of oxygen, it's why he can hold his breath for 5 to 7 minutes, so in theory you should be able to improve your ability to breathe. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. i find it very interesting. i've heard some vague rumours about his techniques before but didn't know his name or what he has done.
i can't do his breathing technique because i can't hold my breath for 90 seconds. 45 seconds just, but no longer than that and then i have to breathe a lot more than one big breath holding for 15 seconds when i'm done. i faint if i do that i reckon. My lungs are in a poor condition from years of smoking.
i have heard of the iceman but didn't think he had this scientifically worked out. Great work though. Cold has always been known to work on inflammation but Wim Hof brings that understanding to a new level.
How have you been doing lately otherwise?
no oxygen because of how poorly you breathe, it's no wonder you have so much problems. oxygen is immensely important. I think a lot of my problems are partially because I don't get enough oxygen. my body might very well be always Low-key thinking he's suffocating.
I'm doing okay feeling much freer than the human Glass Prison AKA my body and existence in the world. can you breathe through your nose? I've been trying to train myself to breathe through my nose more because it's better for you. you sound in a dire situation I hope it won't get worse for you. it's difficult for me to breathe as well but you sound even worse.
PS when I tried his breathing technique when I was listening to the podcast I didn't even notice that 90 seconds had passed. i had gotten a fuzzy feeling in my face and even in my chest when I first did the breathing technique. the fuzzy feeling in my face happens when I use my asthma breathing machine, because I'm getting more oxygen that I'm used to I guess. I think his technique makes you open up your lungs more.
