Hey you, curious to know what is left for us to do after acceptance of placing faith in God, and the Lord Jesus Christ?

Here below you can see what we progress from after we accept the Lord Jesus Christ, but what is there left for us to do afterwards?

Hebrews 6: 1 Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, 2 of the doctrine of baptisms, of laying on of hands, of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

Hebrews 6 says we go to perfection (maturity), for a believer they do not have to worry about laying down the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith (work is believing in God, and that work is also loving of God, and loving of others).

You repent once, you change your desires from having nothing to do with God into having a relationship with him and his son.

We no longer worry about the doctrine of baptism because we are baptised by the Lord Jesus Christ by the holy spirit and fire.

No more laying on hands, we have prayer to God and we will receive help by the holy spirit that lives with-in as we ask God for helped and guidance. We no longer have to worry about the resurrection of the dead, because we have learned about God raising the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead.

We no longer worry about eternal judgement. (maybe someone can explain this one to me cause I don't quite get it as I do the others.)

What is left for us as believers after acceptance of the Lord Jesus Christ if we lay all of these things down, and progress in our relationship with God?

Would anyone like to answer this question?

John 15:5 says we can do nothing w/o abiding in Him and in abiding we will bear much fruit. It's not a doing thing but it is a resting. Jesus said His peace He leaves with us and that peace is beyond worldly understanding. So peace and resting (abiding) isn't something that is effected by feelings or circumstance. It's based on hope which is seen in faith and that is the assurance that anchors the soul. Hebrews 6:18-20 That verse also says it is our strong consolation when we aren't feeling it.

When we overstep our conscience He is the mediator to cleanse the guilt of disobedience. Peace is restored. Isaiah 26:2-4

Romans 12:1-4 True and proper worship is to allow the transforming of the mind. What I would call a miracle is the Holy Spirit transmitting a concept into the human spirit that the mind can digest to become a path on which to walk and a way in which to serve the Body. Iow we learn to hear that still small voice that we recognise as God. It's a knowing that faith is built on. Like when we first believed.

Legalists would say you have to do something but grace doesn't. When I feel lost is when I'm spending no time in prayer and I think that's the lest-felt sin there is. To me that's overstepping the conscience for a long while. But it's still just feeling and circumstances that can be righted by going to the mediator.

Hope is the shadow of the reality of love. Our bodies just have a great amount of insulation that blocks the Son from shining His full ray of Love upon us.

1 John 4:15
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

1 Corinthians 6:17
He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

We no longer worry about eternal judgement. (maybe someone can explain this one to me cause I don't quite get it as I do the others.)
What is left for us as believers after acceptance of the Lord Jesus Christ if we lay all of these things down, and progress in our relationship with God?
Our spirit agrees with the Holy Spirit in saying “Abba, I recognize You as my everything, I trust in You” That’s a covenantal agreement, the trust. His part of the covenant is to give eternal life. Ours is to nail ourselves to the cross. Or iow, gain the mind of Christ Romans 12:1-3 which is our reasonable service. His mind would lead us from there within that outline ... what is left for us to do after acceptance of placing faith in God, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I would hope baptism is not necessary if one genuinely loved Jesus and others and was not baptized but how can one know ? Why would someone refuse baptism if he thought it may be necessary ? Paul said he would do such if God permits perhaps if people did not know if baptism is necessary or what it is about. Maybe he didn’t want people just discussing the elementary principles and not following Christ

Symbolically that is the outer sign, just as works in James are described but reveals the inner baptism that's fire not water that is outer. One is the office of the forerunner of the Forerunner and the other the reality of the process.

Ok thanks but why did Peter command after receiving the Holy Spirit for people to be water baptised ? How do we know it was just to profess faith ? How is that meaningful if they are already reborn through belief ?Was it not to wash away sins ? Why did Jesus say he who believes and is baptized will be saved ? But He says those who do not believe are condemned so believing may save one from condemnation if one still has true belief if they are sincere in loving Jesus and others but what is the purpose of baptism for salvation if you can not be condemned by belief if you can be sanctified without it ?
I think it is not necessary to do the will of God but to take away all sins now baptism is necessary but I can’t prove it
I would like for one to be saved without it but it does not seem people really are sincere if they are not baptised if they think it may be essential

This is the Biblical version of Emotional Intelligence...[1][2][3]

Self-Awareness - Humility to give oneself honest assessments of his/her own competence. Pride will only discourage Peace and Joy for everyone involved.
Self-Regulation - Self-Control, Patience, and Faithfulness. Promotes Peace and Joy in self and others.
Social Skills - All of these Fruits of the Spirit promote pro-social behaviour, which is the long-term goal of social skills. These lead to Peace and Joy.
Empathy - Love, Kindness, Gentleness, and Goodness. Gives Peace and Joy to self and others.
Motivation - Pleasing God should be our main motivation in life, first and foremost. Eventually leads to eternal Peace and Joy.

To live as He would, like a child of God: to do good, to be holy, to persevere, to remain in Him, to refrain from sin- putting to death the deeds of the flesh, to wash ones robes, to obey the commandments (the ten as well Jesus' later commandments), to pray, to do "for the least of these", to do the works prepared for us in Christ, to "invest" one's talents, to be vigilant, to forgive others, to strive, to love -all biblical instructions. Faith is only the beginning of this walk-and we can even turn and walk back away from it.

Baptism in water is an outward sign of an inward change.

"Jesus answered, "Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit." John 3:5

Water baptism is symbolic of the new birth, and can also double as one's public profession of faith, the confession with the mouth that Jesus is Lord.

While not strictly necessary, as not everyone can be baptized, it's important enough not to think it has no meaning as it does.

Thanks I guess it is possible if when Jesus said he who believes and is baptized will be saved it means if one heart is baptized by the Holy Spirit from belief if a saving knowledge is obtained but how can we know. I think we should accept it by faith so that when it was said to Paul arise and be baptized washing away your sins by calling on the Lord such baptism is mainly meant spiritual baptism by calling on the Lord and outwardly baptism was done to make that change seem more meaningful

You're missing the gist of the writer's discussion. He is in effect giving a lecture to his audience of already baptized Christians. He says to them he is moving on in his discussion from the elementary principles, those being repentance, baptism, and the laying on of hands. He says "leaving (for the sake of discussion) the elementary principles", "let us move on now". The next point of his lesson is the penalty for falling away from Christianity. "for it is impossible...for those who fall away, to be renewed (again)..." Once a person falls away and renounces Christ they cannot return. It would be the same as crucifying Christ all over again for your own gain. The writer of 2 Peter says the same:

2Pe 2:20 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning.

If someone has "escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ" and then fall away into their old ways:

2Pe 2:21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.

It would be better for them to never have known, because if they had never known, repentance would still be available to them. But since they knew, and turned their back on it, it is not.

It's just a matter of doing what He says- and modeled. Certainly God judges based on what we're capable of doing, and have knowledge or understanding about. With whatever gifts we're given including time, opportunity, revelation, grace, maturity, intelligence, gifts of the Spirit, etc, we're expected to do the best we can. The thief on the cross had only enough time to confess faith in Jesus, to love Him as he could-and God, who knows and judges by the heart anyway, was pleased by that.

They can return it has danger of maybe dying in sin if you don’t repent and therefore harder to come back because you don’t know if you will find Him if you don’t repent

It is that way by Tradition. According to the bible it is not. That was one of the early theological debates within the Church. It was around 200 AD that Calixtus I of Rome decided that the Church could in fact absolve a baptized person of mortal sin committed after baptism. The three major sins were adultery, murder, and idolatry. That led also to the debates on the status of those who renounced their faith under persecution and were considered to have fallen away. That "...those who fall away" part. The bible teaches in plain language that they could not return, but the Church decided otherwise.

Ok I have read the debate in church history I am not sure because leaving the faith altogether and becoming another faith is a serious sin so I don’t know I interpret for the bible to mean it would be harder for them I guess it could be impossible for them if they delay returning as they risk losing their chance and dying before that and that after death it is not possible to save them.

There are many things the bible doesn't really teach all that plainly-and one cannot base their theology on an isolated passage or two in any case. The church, for one thing, knowing of the nature of God, of His mercy, forgiveness, long-suffering, of His love for humankind and desire for all to ultimately come to repentance and salvation determined that forgiveness is always offered; redemption always possible with God for those who do not adamantly oppose Him by the way they live their lives, by persisting in sin so grave and opposed to love as to separate them from Him all over again.

Not to butt in but water is symbolic of the Holy Spirit, which is necessary, and so is the leading also symbolized by the fire. (so stop! you both right! you got it juicy fruit!)

Moving on ...
